Borrowed from Natalie! Check her out.

Happy Monday! This week is my last full week of school ever. As of today, I have 2 classes left. 2. ever. And then I will no longer be a student and instead I will be a lawyer (at least trying to pass the bar, and then becoming a lawyer). It's hard to imagine but so so exciting at the same time. I never try to rush my life, but I cannot wait for August, when the bar is finished, when I can take a fabulous trip to new york with my mom and when I sit and wait to become an official lawyer. I just can't wait. So, to my gals and my guys, good luck with finals! Good luck with your last 3 weeks of school, ever! I cannot wait to celebrate when we're done! 26 days till graduation. We're almost there!!

Prayers for Boston.

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

When I think about the events that occurred in Boston yesterday, I literally have no words. My heart sunk, panic set in as I thought of all the ones I know and love in Boston and I instantly started wondering why and how. I can't shake the fact that at least for the past couple years, every 4-5 months something terrible happens in this country. And I can't figure out why or how people can have this kind of hate in their hearts to do such terrible things. But the thing that gives me hope in these kind of situations is the goodness that random strangers show others in the midst of all these tragedies. Runners, running back towards the blast yesterday was such a powerful image that it brought tears to my eyes. Watching strangers running towards the blast to help other runners and bystanders. First responders running towards the blast when they were unaware of the potential danger. Because, it seems like in the midst of evil, goodness and hope will always prevail.
So, to the boston bomber, who thought you could get your 15 minutes of fame, you failed. Goodness prevailed yesterday and will continue to do so in the wake of this tragedy. So suck it Boston Bomber, because yesterday, strangers helped strangers, there was light irregardless of your attempt to create darkness and at the end of the day you were forgotten, but the strength of the human spirit will never be forgotten. Hope and goodness will always prevail and you will not.

Today, I will take a minute to tell those I love, I love them. I will cherish every good and wonderful moment I am given. And my prayers will always be with those in Boston and all those affected.

"So when you spot violence, or bigotry, or intolerance or fear or just garden-variety misogyny, hatred or ignorance, just look it in the eye and think, 'The good outnumber you, and we always will.'"

A great letter to the Boston Bomber (from Thought Catalog)

What you get by reaching your destination isn't nearly as important as what you become by reaching your goals - what you will become is the winner you were born to be!- Zig Ziglar

so so excited for this month. I've been MIA recently, but this weekends is the culmination of a very long semester and then, I promise, I'll be back. This is my last full month of school (ever!!) and I plan on enjoying every last bit. So here's to the sunshine, the blooming flowers and the joy of graduation on the horizon. Hello, April, I've been waiting for you.
