My Full Baby Registry

June 25, 2018

When I sat down to register, I had no clue where to start. First baby, first time registering and no idea what I would need to keep a little human alive. Turns out, a lot. Luckily, I've got great friends and sisters-in-law that would help me through this process. I'd be so dang lost without them.

After 7 long hours on the computer, I finally compiled a registry. I figured I cannot be the only first time mama out there who needs some guidance. This is a short very long list of my registry favorites. Keep in mind, you can register for everything under the sun and depending how many showers you have, you might just need too.

There are a few different ways to register. I for one, didn't register for my big items; crib, dressers, chairs or bookshelves. But a lot of people do and a lot of registries tell you to do so! That part is up to you.

I registered at Amazon, Buy Buy Baby and Pottery Barn Kids. I know what you're thinking, how excessive. But I have reasons for all. Amazon, because Amazon Prime. Two of my three showers are out of state and I knew friends would want to ship gifts and basically everyone has prime. I did it to save money. Buy Buy Baby because everyone gets 20% off coupons. Pottery Barn Kids because they have some of the cuter more niche items I love.

If you haven't heard of Baby List, I suggest checking it out. You an compile your registry from anywhere you can dream of. Every baby store in the world, you can add it to your registry. The one complaint I've heard, its kind of a pain to order and then put your order number on baby list. But it seems like a great idea to me.

I broke this down into categories and shared a huge list, plus I linked some of my most favorite / necessary items. Oh and hey, remember I don't have a kid yet, so these are just what I was told! Please tell me your recs if you have other options!

Ps. There are Amazon affiliate links in this post. Meaning if you click and buy, I make a very small percentage. Thanks in advance for supporting Everyday Grace!

BABY GEAR / TRAVEL //
  • Stroller. I'm obsessed with our stroller. It's the Vista Uppa Baby and I love how easy everything clicks in to it. Our car seat clicks in, plus it has an infant carrier and a toddler seat. And, it's gorgeous.
  • Umbrella Stroller
  • Stroller hooks
  • Travel bag for stroller and car seat. Ps. If you get the Uppa Baby travel bag, they insure your stroller and car seat if its damaged in travel.
  • Infant Car Seat. I stuck with Uppa Baby
  • Infant car seat base + an extra for spouse
  • Convertible Car Seat
  • Seat Protector Mat. I didn't even think about this until a friend mentioned it, but it saves your leather seats in your car. I registered for two Britax Car Seat Protectors.
  • Car seat head support. This is so baby doesn't get a flat head. Who knew. Babymoov Lovenest.
  • Car seat mirror
  • Wearable baby carrier
  • Playyard
  • Diaper Bags. I'm OBSESSED with my diaper bag! I got a Freshly Picked and Rosie Pope diaper bag backpack and they are so gorgeous.
  • Changing Mat
  • Swing. I registered for this one after my friend advised me to make sure it swings all directions. Snugababy Fisher Price Swing. Side to side, front to back because some babies like certain movements and some swings only go one direction.
  • Bounce Seat
NURSING / FEEDING //
  • Breast Pump & Accessories. Ps. Check with your insurance because these are covered. Not all brands are, so if you're picky, you may want to register. Also, you won't be able to get it until about a month before your due date. I registered for a manual one though along with an automatic.
  • Nursing Bra: Laides, lets make it easier on ourselves and go handsfree with the Simple Wishes Signature Hands Free Pumping Bra.
  • Nursing pillow (Boppy!)
  • Bottles and Nipples of different sizes. Everyone I asked recommended these Comotomo Bottles. My friends told me to make sure and mix up nipple sizes as well.
  • Bottle Warmer
  • Bottle Brush
  • Drying Rack
  • Insulated bottle tote (especially if you are going to daycare)
  • Baby food maker
  • High Chair: I just liked the look of this Nuna Zaaz Highchair. Who knows what's better here.
  • Bowls/Spoons
  • Toddler Cups
  • Feeder for strained food: I love these munchkin ones. Both my nephews used them for fresh fruit, ect.
  • Bibs/Burp Cloths
  • Pacifiers/Teethers
BATH / POTTY //
  • Baby Bath Tub
  • Baby Shampoo/Wash/Lotion
  • Rinse Cup
  • Bath toys: I just loved these yellow rubber duckies like I used to have.
  • Washclothes
  • Kneeler
  • Diapers. I was told to register for the brand I want, so if people want to buy to diapers they know the correct brand. I went with Pampers Swaddlers
  • Diaper Pail
  • Hooded Towels: These Pottery Barn Baby Faux Fur Bath Wraps are almost too cute. Almost. I was gifted the white unicorn one and its the softer thing ever.
  • Wipes
  • Rash Ointment
  • Wipes Warmer: My BFF got me this Prince Lionhart Wipes Warmer and I didn't even know I needed it. God bless my BFFs.
HEALTH / SAFETY //
  • Baby Monitor
  • Safety Accessories (think plug covers and door closers)
  • Night light
  • Humidifier: Depending on where you live, this is important. For us Denver-ites and the cold dry winters, its a necessity. I picked this VAVA Cool Mist Humidifier because I liked the look of it.
  • Thermometer
  • Nasal Aspirator. AKA the booger sucker, blech! But NoseFrieda the snotsucker, here I come.
  • Baby toothbrush
  • Nail clippers
  • Brush and Comb Set
  • Laundry detergent. I was told to register for Seventh Generation detergent. It's not baby specific but clean and healthy for baby. A lot of my friends use Dreft because it smells like baby!
TOYS //
  • Activity Gym: I loved this one from Pottery Barn Kids. So darn cute.
  • Rattles/Teethers
  • Take along Toys
  • Walker: I liked this Joovy walker because it has a little table on the front and I liked the colors.
  • Blocks
  • Books. My advice, get your childhood favorites.
  • Stuffed Animals
NEWBORN ESSENTIALS // Here's the advice I got about clothing. Everyone will buy you clothing if you register for it. But if you're like me and this is the first baby, don't register for a ton of clothing because you want people to buy you the stuff you need.
Hey, if you made it to the end of this huge post, congratulate yourself and thanks for reading! What are your registry must haves? Tell me everything.

Happy Monday friends! Let's make this a great week.

  4. This is a great list! When our son was 4.5 weeks old we moved to China for two years (we also had a two year old daughter) so I definitely agree with so many of the items on this list for traveling and moving around with ease when you have little people! Thanks for sharing!

  5. Great list! Ours was MUCH smaller than this haha we skipped a lot of the non-essentials like swings and rockers and special play mats and things like that. To be honest, you only actually need maybe 1/5 of this list lol I think the only "must-have" on my registry was our jogging stroller. I really wanted to be able to continue going for runs every morning with our little one :)

  6. The things that I registered for but never used were his caps and mittens. I still need to get a travel back pack.
