I haven't been in a huge blogging mode, besides pictures, videos and songs. School is kind of taking over my life, but soon it will be summer and I'll be back in action. But in the meantime, here's some fun, get-to-know kristen facts. Happy Tuesday.
I am...Kristen Grace. Daughter, sister, best friend, girlfriend, student.
I want...approval.
I have...the most wonderful family in the entire world.
I wish..to be a great lawyer.
I hate...when people chomp their food/gum.
I fear... a lot. I watch too much Criminal Minds.
I search...daily to find happiness in everything
I wonder... if this is God's plan for my life.
I regret...nothing. Regrets lead you nowhere.
I love...my family, my friends, my boyfriend, my dog and my God.
I ache...when I see people I love cry.
I always... say a prayer before bed.
I usually...am a very happy girl.
I am not...afraid to speak my mind, although this has gotten me into some trouble in my life.
I dance...only when slightly intoxicated.
I sing..... I don't, unless I'm in the shower or car. I'm tone deaf.
I never...leave someone I love, without telling them I love them.
I sometimes...cry when I hear people sing.
I cry... a lot. Watching TV, anything regarding the US or the military, a glass of wine and Grey's Anatomy, or kind of just whenever.
I am not always... as confident as I wish.
I lose...interest in movies, books or conversations with people when they can't get to the point sooner than later.
I am confused...by hate. It's so much easier to love.
I need... to believe in myself more.
I should... I am, so grateful for this life.
Who Are You?
I love birthdays. All birthdays, not just mine. I think it's because its a chance to have all your friends and family in one place and celebrate all day, drink good drinks, eat good food, and spend some quality time together. I was kind of bumming yesterday morning since I wasn't going to get to see some certain Arizona people but it turned out to be one of the best days. Adam surprised me bright and early with his beautiful gift, my girlfriends took me to lunch, happy hour and dinner with Adam at this amazing tapas restaurant and then drinks with some law school friends. I am so blessed by the people in my life, and although I was far from my family and friends, I got to talk to them all, ichat a couple and Adam reminded me that I'll be home with them soon. It was the best day. So, thank you to my friends, family and Adam for making it a day for the record books. I am so grateful for you and can't wait till the next birthday, Coti... get ready, it's almost your turn.
lunch with the girls
birthday cake :)
happy hour with adam
late night drinks and cigar with adam and friends

I love this song...
...especially these lines:
There’s something, something about this place
Something about lonely nights and my lipstick on your face
Something something about my cool Nebraska guy
Yeah something about Baby you and I
Just knowin' when it's right
So put your drinks up for Nebraska
For Nebraska, Nebraska, I love you

25 years have come and gone.
I've never been an avid Oprah watcher, I've only ever been the one who TIVO'd certain episodes based on her celebrity guests, but I figured since this week showcased the final three shows, I thought it appropriate to watch. And boy, was I glad I watched. The honesty and humility that she spoke with at the end of her final episode made it apparent why she's been a success for 25 years. Yes, she's been coined preachy, she's been coined a know-it-all, but when push comes to shove, she's given herself to millions of people all over the world for 25 constant years. So, regardless of your views of Oprah, tonight she left the living rooms of millions of Americans in a graceful and dignified manner that would make anyone proud. In her own, final words,

Wow, it's been a longgg time since the last time I've blogged, probably the longest ever. It's been pretty hectic... school was winding up, finals were over, Adam and I went home to Arizona to spend a beautiful weekend in the sun filled with engagement parties and Mother's Days and as soon as I got back to Omaha I was sick... After that was over, summer school started. I just started week two of summer school and needless to say, there's not a whole lot of room for blogging or summer. However, the last couple days have been so wonderful. Everyone, summer in Omaha is finally here. It's been a consistent 70+ degrees and its lovely. So, grab those bikinis, cold beer and country music, find yourself a pool or a lake and get outside. It's summer and the living is easy.
The Bride to be!
Future groom..aka my brother <3
Adam & I <3.
One thing I've been super looking forward too recently is this 'relay' I'm going to be running in. Yes, you read that correctly, running. Molly, Adam's sister asked Adam and I to run in the Market to Market Relay which starts at the Old Market in Omaha and ends in Lincoln on October 1st. It's an 85 mile relay broken into different stages split between runners. The point is to give money back to organizations throughout Nebraska, it's pretty rad if you ask me. Needless to say, it's quite the challenge, and today was my first day of 'training.' I used to run in high school because of sports, ran in college sporadically because I wanted to be fit. But, this will be the first running event I've ever participated it, and I wanna be great. I don't want to let my team down, so I'm going to start running now, so come October I'll be ready. I'll definitely keep you all posted, because this could get tricky. Discipline is key. Let the training begin.
