Let's chat skincare. Post pregnancy has been rough for my skin. Before I got pregnant, I had a pretty good control on my skin. During pregnancy, my skin was a mess, and post pregnancy, I've been on a journey to find a great skin care (for both my face AND my body!).
Guys, I think I've found it! I never had sensitive skin before I had Quinnie, but after, it's more susceptible to everything. I knew I needed to find a product that cleansed my skin, but didn't hurt it. You know what I'm talking about. There are so many products on the market that hurt your skin, they make it red, extra dry, or make it break out even more.
Luckily for you guys, I found the best skin care routine. Ceramedx is a natural ceramide therapy system for dry and sensitive skin. Thanks to Denver, I need all the help with my dry skin. All their products contain plant based ingredients that not only moisturize, but sooth. PS. This product is awesome, so I'm partnering with Ceramedx to give you THREE of their products. Enter below!
Hey, this is where I tell you that this is a sponsored post. I was gifted this product by Ceramedx, but in the spirit of writing honestly, all comments and thoughts are purely my own. I really do use Ceramedx!
The thing I love about this product is it involves three (very easy!) steps.
One thing I love about these products is there is no smell. None. And, it's not greasy. Usually when you hear a product is geared towards dry skin, it means it's going to make me greasy - this is NOT the case. Guys, let's be real, this stuff is magic.
Here are the details: Ceramedx is formulated with Riceramide-3 Complex, an exclusive blend of ceramides derived from rice, bran, botanical cholesterol and fatty acid extracts that mimic the moisture and protection barrier already found in your skin. It's free of fragrances (bless), is clinically tested, and dermatologist recommended.
Alright, so I can't keep these amazing products to myself. Ceramedx is so generous and is giving one of you LUCKY readers all THREE of these products. You know you wanna enter!
It's giveaway time!

- First, you use the Extra Gentle Cleanser. It's fragrance free, sulfate free and perfect for very dry, sensitive skin. I can actually feel it cleaning my skin and getting all the stuff off.
- Second, you use the Restoring Body Lotion all over. It's great for everyday use!
- Third, if you are extra dry, use the Ultra Moisturizing Cream on those super dry spots. Think elbows, feet and hands!

Hi friends, we made it! Happy Friday!
I am so excited to share my skincare routine with you. My skincare routine is fairly simple, but has changed so much since I became a mama. Honestly, I'm not a very high maintenance person when it comes to my skincare. I don't have a ton of time to put on a 10000 items, but I know that I want fresh, glowy skin.
Now, side-note -- before we get started, I have to warn you. I'm in the process of transitioning my skincare and makeup to clean beauty products. So, yes, this is what I am currently using and have been for about the last year, but its all gonna change soon! Stay tuned for that post, I'm super excited to share with you what I've learned.

Okay, back to skincare. I changed up my skincare routine right before I got pregnant with Quinn. I remember calling my best friend Coti and begging for tips because my skin felt dull. Now, Cotihas the prettiest skin ever so I knew I could trust her recommendations. She immediately sent me everything she uses and I was off to Sephora (& Amazon!).
Also, I have no real idea what order I'm supposed to put this stuff on in, so take this all with a teeny grain of salt.
Ps. there are affiliate links in here, meaning if you buy, I receive a small commission.
MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE:
Face wash: This rec is per my bff. I was using a crappy face-wash before and I just felt like it wasn't doing its job. I used to use Proactive but it just became too harsh. Welcome Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. I feel like my skin is so clean after I use it, but not dried out or rough.
Toner: I love toner. I've used some version of it since I was a prepubescent girl. I've tried them all, but Thayer's Witch Hazel is my go-to. It's not too harsh, but for someone who loves toner, this is a perfect mix.
Moisturizer: Back again with the Fresh product, I love this moisturizer. This Rose Deep Hydration Moisturizer is the best. Its not too light but also keeps me moist in the winter. It feels great and I love the way it smells.
Eye cream: Don't yell at me but I never really believed in eye cream until I had Quinn. I never really had bags ect until I was a sleep deprived mama and this Farmacy Dew it All eye cream has saved me. PS! This is a clean beauty product! Score.
Sunscreen: I don't use sunscreen on my face every day. Now, if I know I'm going to be outside, of course I wear it. But honestly, I spend the majority of my day inside in my office. And, it's semi heavy! But, when I wear face sunscreen, I love my Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum.
NIGHTTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE:
My nighttime skin care routine doesn't differ that much, but just enough that I've noticed a great difference in my skin.
Face wash: Same face wash because I love it. Fresh Soy Face Cleanser.
Toner: Again, same toner. Thayer's Witch Hazel
Moisturizer: Sensing a trend? Same moisturizer --> Rose Deep Hydration Moisturizer is the best.
Eye cream: I get a little crazy here. Because it's night and I want a littler more moisture, I use Dr. Brandt needles no more® NO MORE BAGGAGE™ eye de-puffing gel. This eye cream is definitely a little thicker, but since its nighttime, I actually prefer it.
A little boost: I needed a little moisture boost and this again is my from bff. Hyaluronic Acid has become my new bff (sorry Coti, but you're the one who showed it to me!) :) I buy this on Amazon and I use maybe 2-3 times a week. This stuff is my skin saver.
Zit Cream: Yes, I'm 31 and still get zits and yes, I swear by this stuff. Mario Badescu
Drying Lotion is a life saver and it's super glam.
Hum Nutrition Skin Heroes Pre+Probiotic: This is taking of my skin from the inside out. These pre-probiotics nurture the gut and skin. They are created for problematic skin (hello post-partum). They support skin hydration, balances the gut microbiome and are for acne prone skin (non-cystic). Sign me up.

If you're living in a perpetual state of winter like I am, you can relate to the problem of having super white skin all the time. My girl Lauren Kay Sims is also a Colorado girl and has been talking about these tanning drops forever. I finally gave in and got myself some.
Do yourself a favor - don't wait as long as I did! You have to get yourself some.
I talked about these on my insta stories the other night and you guys went crazy for them! You had so many questions and while I did my best to answer on Insta-stories, your questions required a little more info! I'm so excited to share these drops with you + some tips on how best to use them.
I bought my Isle of Paradise drops at Sephora and they are currently sold out in the dark color. But my advice, call your specific store! Sometimes they will do research for you and find them at another store! Mine had a tonnnnn of bottles!
First, the main reason I love these drops is the color is great. I have pretty light skin, so I tend to go orange if the tanner is bad. I've experimented with lots of different ones and these drops have such great color. PLUS you get to decide how dark/light you want to go!
Second, it's so easy to apply. Don't get me wrong, as much as I love my tan towels, sometimes they aren't the easiest to use. These drops are so incredibly simple.
Third, they don't have a super strong smell. It smells kind of beachy, but not a nauseating tanner smell like some tanners. And, they don't irritate my skin! They are paraben and sulfate free!
Okay, so let's chat the how-to. FYI, the Isle of Paradise drops come in 3 shades; light, medium and dark. I wear the dark. So, with all the drops, take whatever lotion you use (I love Fresh Rose Moisturizer for my face and Vanicream for my bod) and mix in a few drops. The bottle tells you to use anywhere between 2-10 drops depending on area of body and how dark you want.
Because this was my first time applying, I started small. I did 3 drops for my face and 5 drops for my body. This ended up being a little too light. I would probably do 5 drops for my face and 8 drops for my body. Once you mix your drops in the lotion, apply it section by section to your body. I do each arm, each leg, chest/shoulders, stomach and then back. Just like you're putting on lotion!
Remember, like any tanning product, make sure you wash your hands once you're done applying! Nothing worse than funky hands!
The color started developing within about 2 hours. I did my tanning on Sunday and I can still tell. Moving forward I will probably do this like every week-10 days (depending on how tan I care about being in February!).

"We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do." Mother Teresa
Toady, I'm so excited to share with you a little behind the blog secret. I've been whitening my teeth with Smile Brilliant! Everyone wants a perfect white smile, especially me. Between blogging and instagram, a white smile is super important to me. I'm not one of those instagrammers who can get away with a closed mouth smile, so having white teeth is a necessity!
I've never used a whitening kit before. To be honest, it used to terrify me. I was afraid of teeth sensitivity and weird discoloration, so I never used one. But, I kept drinking coffee and wine and my teeth got less and less white. So, safe to say, my smile is not as white as I would like. I looked into getting my teeth whitened at my dentist office but their quote came in at over $700. While I wanted white teeth, I couldn't justify the price tag. Even if I wanted to spend $700, I really didn't want to spend any more time at the dentist then my twice a year visits.
When Smile Brilliant reached out to me to try their product, I absolutely jumped at the chance to try it. The best part about Smile Brilliant is they removed the office visit and made a dentist grade whitening service for under $200. Crazy right?
Their process is simple. I answered a few questions about my dental history and before I knew it I had a Smile Brilliant package sitting at my door step. The process for making your own molds at home is very easy. They give you all the product, and making the molds takes about 3 minutes for top and bottom. You send them in a week later you have your very own custom made whitening trays.
Per the given instructions, I whitened my teeth every night before bed for 45 minutes. You can whiten for up to 3 hours, but like I said, the sensitivity part made me nervous so I started at just 45 minutes. Guys, guess what? I never had any sensitivity. After I whitened, they give you a desensitizing gel you can use and it works like a charm. I never felt uncomfortable with cold foods and never felt sensitive.
The price for the whitening kit is $139. The price may seem steep at first but compared to drugstore teeth whitening kits which don't work great and the dentist which is super expensive, this is a great deal.
I ended up seeing a huge difference in my smile. I really wish I would have done this sooner!
AND here's a 15% off coupon code for your own whitening kit! theeverydaygrace15
Here are some tips from the experts to make your whitening experience even better.
- Use only 1/3-1/4 of a syringe per session
- You DO NOT need to use all the gels that came in your kit: most people only need 7-12 whitening sessions (2-3 syringes) to see their full results!
- The extra gels will stay good for 1 year at room temperature or 2 years refrigerated
- Brush your teeth with only water before whitening
- Gum sensitivity is normal! Coat your gums with Vaseline or coconut oil to prevent this
- Whiten daily or every other day if possible for best results!
- It's best to whiten for 45 minutes - 3 hours per session
Are you ready for the before and after?

Long time no talk friends! I'm in the process of getting back into blogging post Quinn's arrival but I gotta be honest, it's tough! Our day is divided up into three hour increments and between showering, laundry and the occasional naps I don't have a ton of time left.
But, stay tuned. I head back to work next week which will hopefully get us into a little bit more of a routine. I've got some fun things coming to the blog and I cannot wait to reconnect with you guys! Thanks for hanging in the last month and letting us soak up all the newborn snuggles.
Today, I'm super excited to tell you all about my new makeup bag. I'll be the first to admit, I am semi high maintenance. There I said it. When I travel, I like to bring all my stuff. The last thing I need is hotel shampoo and conditioner. I like to bring the products I need, makeup, lotion, hair stuff, it's just the way I am. Because of this, I find myself bringing like 10 bags of products. It's annoying.
I've never been able to find a big enough bag for both makeup and products and my hair styling tools. That was until now.
When I found Joligrace, I knew I found the solution to my high maintenance travel problems. A bag big enough to carry everything (even my curling iron and blow dryer!). This is huge people. Plus, it's so dang cute and durable.
A little about Joligrace -- Joligrace makeup cases are waterproof, wear resistant, easy to clean and they will fit everything you need. They also make big makeup cases, nail cases and other size travel bags. I got a large because... I need it.
The thing I love is it has room for all your makeup brushes, hair brushes, makeup and more. The dividers are removable so you can make the spaces larger or smaller too, perfect for all your products.
The best part, right now they are having their end of summer sale, with deals up to 50%! Now is the time to grab whatever bag fits your fancy and your travel needs.
Get to shopping gfs. You deserve it. And then book a vacation because you deserve that too.

Happy Friday! Lots of new stuff going on over here :) If you're new, head to Instagram to see what's been keeping me busy the last few days! It's been the best week of our lives and we're so excited for this new venture.
But before we get to a baby post (hopefully coming next week if I can get it together), let's talk all things Fab Fit Fun.
If you haven't heard about the Fab Fit Fun box you are missing out. It's a box with tons of goodies in it that comes every quarter. My favorite part about this box, you get real sizes (no samples), the products are amazing, you can semi-personalize your box and since it only comes once a quarter, you're getting a box full of products, not just a bunch of small stuff.
Today on Insta-stories, I walked you through all the products, but I thought you might want a little more in-depth details. Let's do this.
First, here are all the amazing products I got in my Fall Fab Fit Fun Box.
Lets break them all down:
If you got the Fall Box, what was our favorite item?

Happy Friday! We made it through the week, hallelujah!
I've been pretty vocal about that fact that pregnancy hasn't done my skin a ton of favors. Let's be blunt, pregnancy has killed my skin. The "glow" I got was mid-summer sweat and I found myself breaking out more than I anticipated.
At the very beginning of my pregnancy. I turned to my BFF to help me with some tips. I got a new cleanser, day cream and started using Hyaluronic Acid Serum. Within days. I saw a change, but I knew I needed a little more help.
I needed a little bit more targeted help. Overall, I was seeing a change in my skin, but knew I needed to jump in a little more.
I met Tom, the owner of Trust Beauty and was amazed by his product. I started religiously using the night cream and the enzyme mask and I swear by the results. My face is so much clearer and I finally have that pregnancy glow. I've been using the Commit Night Cream and the Honor Enzyme Mask for the last 2 weeks and absolutely love it.
The one thing I really love about the products, they smell amazing. They are not harsh, so I never felt a reaction or any sort of burning sensation. This says a lot because being pregnant my skin is so sensitive. I love that their products are natural and don't use any super harsh chemicals. This was huge for me when picking out pregnancy skin care products. I didn't want to use retinoids or chemicals (which when researching products is hard to find ones without!).

Real talk. This week has been a hard pregnancy week. Yesterday I had a migrane for 12 hours. I'm trying to do this whole natural pregnancy thing and that coupled with my doctors rec for no meds due to my cyst, it results in headaches. I tried lavender essential oils, cold face masks, hot face masks, showers, dark, no noice, neck rubs, nothing helped. Finally, this am, I woke with no headache, bless.
This is my first real week I've actually felt pregnant. My back aches, my boobs are sore, I'm leaking from places that are weird, I haven't slept more than 2 hour stretches and I feel as if every woman's emotions are living in my body. Guys, last night I cried for like 2 hours and have no idea why. I was pretty dang happy but I was so emotional. It's isolating, and even though Adam is the best husband, its hard to explain feelings to him I can't understand myself. Pregnancy is not for the weak of heart and this week has taught me that.
But today I woke up, feeling refreshed for the first time in days, no headache, praise jesus and ready to take the day. I'm reminding myself that life is lived in seasons and pregnancy is a very short season. I need to embrace the good days, dig in to the bad days and remember that it's all worth it.
Alright, thanks for listening to my pregnancy vent session, let's talk tanners.
Since I'm living in a state of perpetual winter, it was time to take tanning matters into my own hands. Or luckily for me, the hands of my Instagram story watchers. About a month ago, Adam hinted that I might want to sit in the sun for a little bit to get some sun, aka a tan. Well since he mentioned this, we've had at least 6 snow days.
It was time to take tanning into my own hands. I gathered my favorite sunless tanners, suggestions from my readers and the top rated tanners. What ones do you use?
TAN TOWEL // My best friend Coti turned me on to these years ago and they are still my favorite. They come in large and small sizes perfect for full body or just face. The best thing about these besides the perfect color is they don't have a horrible smell. They work quickly and are super easy to use. They come with a big towel and it goes on great with no streaking.
DR. DENNIS GROSS ALPHA BETA GLOW PAD FOR FACE // My friend Channing recommended these for face tanning! I've heard a ton about Dr. Dennis Gross and his products and had never used them until Channing recommended them. I love these pads, almost as much as my tan towel. PS. the best thing about this, they have tons of options.

SUN GIESEE SELF TANNER LOTION // I love a good tanning lotion. Especially one that comes with its own mitt. I always wear light gel nails so keeping tanning lotion off of them is important for me. I love the mitt because it helps the lotion to go on smoothly with no streaking. My only problem, where do you store the semi-dirty mitt between uses?
VERSA SPA SELF TANNING MIST // This is another recommendation from a friend and while I haven't use it she highly suggested I try. Have any of you tried this mist? Versa Spa has a ton of products, like a TON. Have you used any?
JERGENS NATURAL GLOW MOISTURIZER // I love this lotion for daily use. It doesn't have a strong smell but gives great light glow for daily use. I use it on my legs and arms almost every day. Plus, you can buy it at Target or the grocery story and its cheap. The only problem here, Adam says it stinks, but I love the glow, so it's a mixed opinion in this house.
Happy Thursday friends! It's officially Friday eve!
Happy Monday friends! How was your weekend? Ours was so fun! After the flu ravaged our house last weekend, we needed to get out. Happy hour, dinner with our friends, home improvement projects and binge watching Homeland. It was great.

Happy Monday friends, lets make the a great week!
Winter is absolutely brutal for my skin. The freezing cold, super dry air makes for dry blech skin. Throw in a few days of 70+ degree temps and forget about it. My face is a mess.
About a month ago, I started noticing more breakouts. Once I got over my teenage years, I was blessed with pretty clear skin. Sure I'd have the occasional breakout, but nothing I couldn't handle.
I could not figure out this recent breakout fest my face was participating in. Was it my diet? I cut out all sugar. That helped, but I was still noticing little blemishes. I wasn't on my period, wasn't pregnant, so excess hormones couldn't be the issue. Was my makeup causing it? I stopped using one product and I bought new face make up, maybe mine was old? Nope, nothing, still breaking out.
My skin care routine has always been super basic. Great cleaner, toner and night and morning moisturizer. It's always worked for me. I wash my face in the morning and night and never really put much effort in to my skin because for the most part it cooperated with me. I've never been super dedicated to one product or another but am always willing to try new stuff. I knew after this last rush of breakouts I had to try something new.
I went to the mall to find a solution and stumbled upon Lush. Now, we all know what Lush is, the amazing smelling place in the mall. Its filled with colorful bath bombs, great smelling lotions and the best lip tints ever. I went in and began searching for the best mask.
A man approached me offering to help and I couldn't notice how nice his skin was. I told him my small back story about mini-blemishes and how I just wanted something to clean my pores. Before saying a word, he directed me to this mask. He suggested starting once a day for 4-5 days and then every other and then once a week.
Sold. I ran home, washed my face and on the mask went. Adam even joined me! It is the cleanest, tingling feeling mask ever. Day 4 and I could totally see a difference. My skin is brighter, my pores are tighter and cleaner and my skin looks so rejuvenated.
Now, if you're one of the lucky ones with tiny pores, I have a few other masks I LOVE and for different reasons.
Let me be clear, I'm not a dermatologist, I use what I like and how it works for my skin. Always be careful when trying new products as you might have a reaction you didn't quite expect. I always talk to people when buying skin products about my own skin and any concerns I have.
What to use: See below- I listed by 4 favs!
How to use: Apply that mask!
Why: Clear skin, bright skin, smaller pores and happier faces!
Let's get to it. My 4 favorite skin masks:
Lush: Mask of Magnaminty: This tingly, minty face and body mask was formulated to be intensely cleansing but never harsh or abrasive. Kaolin clay and peppermint oil rid your pores of debris, giving you a delightfully tingly clean sensation. We add loads of ground aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe and moisturize.
Be prepared to look a little goofy with it on, but glorious when you wash it off. I use a gentle moisturizer after I use this mask and it is the most refreshing feeling ever.
If you are looking to replenish moisture to your skin, this mask is for you. You will feel instantly rejuvenated. This mask is perfect for those cold harsh winters. It's Adams favorite - yes men can wear face masks!
Dr. Jart+: All that Lift and Firm: A specially-designed mask that achieves the appearance of skin-lifting and elasticity improvement.
Wanna tighten your skin? Look jowls? Chin? Neck? This mask is for you. It is designed to increase elasticity in your skin. I'm so down for this because I'm scared of needles and am not quite ready for Botox or a lift. They don't sell the lift and firm, now its called contour but it's the same stuff!
Andalou Naturals: Fruit Enzyme Mask: Fruit stem cells, resveratrol CoQ10, and bioactive 8 berry complex help support dermal vitality as fruit juice enzymes gently dissolve and exfoliate dull, dry surface cells to reveal skin’s natural glow and a rejuvenated complexion.
I love this mask. No tingling, no burning. It's gentle and refreshing. It's purpose is for those of us with very dry skin. I wanted something that instantly made my face feel fresh and moisturized. This is that mask. And, I bought it at Whole Foods, score!
Happy Wednesday friends! What are your favorite skin care products?

Lola may or may not have tried to lick my face while this was on.
See, everyone thinks it smells good!

Your skin is immediately and exceptionally immersed in moisturization, resulting in a visibly radiant and crystal clear complexion. If you are looking to replenish moisture to your skin, this mask is for you. Let's talk about lips, shall we? I have to preface, I am not a beauty blogger. I don't totally know what I'm talking about when it comes to makeup, but the bottom line, if I like it I will wear it. For example, I've been using the same NARS foundation for like a bazillion years. I love it, I wear it.
The one thing I used to never wear? Anything on my lips. Ask almost anyone and they will tell you I am a blue label chap-stick, jack black lip gloss girl or aquaphor at night. I am also super self-conscious of what is on my teeth or my face therefore lipstick never really appealed to me.
Then I tired my best friends Kylie Lip Kit and my life changed. I LOVE it. Oh man do I love it. I love it so much, I bought a bunch to review so I could share it with you. If you missed that review, find it here.

SkinXL is a lip plumping volumizer. I know what you're thinking, Oh man, my lips are going to burn! Let me settle your nerves when I say that is not the case! This isn't like that stuff we used to use when we were in 6th grade.
I've been using this for the last 2 weeks. Yes, it does have a little tingle. But honestly after the third day, I didn't even notice. It made my lips nice and pink. Did they make them bigger? Honestly? I don't know. Adam said they looked bigger! So, I guess that's all that matters right?
Would I use this again? Sure! It's a nice glossy finish and if it did make my lips bigger, more power to me! I like the smell, it's fruity. And, I love that it's a clear gloss, it really helps a girl overcome her chap-stick addiction.
Have you used a volumizer? What are your thoughts? Would you be willing to try? Tell me everything. Do you have a specific one you like?
