Holy cow friends, it's been ages. To be honest, life has felt too busy. Too busy in the very best way but still. Blogging used to come very natural to me. Words used to fall out of my mouth and topics came easily. But lately, it's felt the very opposite. But also, I've been craving the time needed to blog.
I'm trying to find the balance between being a mom, wife, podcast host, full time job, wanna be instagram influencer, helping with interior design for friends on the side, cooking dinner, etc. We all know the struggle. We all know life is busy and it sucks because this space has taken a full on back seat.
My life is very scheduled and my goal for 2020 is to schedule more time for The Everyday Grace.

Quinnie Update: Quinnie is almost 15 months old! She's walking all over the place, chatting, babbling, saying mama, dada, Lola, nana, papa, please, toes (random, I know). She gets excited over everything, loves to eat, loves music, dancing, her dogs, and is sleeping like a champ. She's my favorite little human. I'm so obsessed with her, it's crazy.
In November, as most of you know, she went to the ER with croup, and it turned in to pneumonia. This sweet little babe can't catch a break. Luckily, we are 15 days past pneumonia and she is doing better than ever. Thank you for all your sweet calls and messages. She's on the mend :)
The holidays: We spent 6 beautiful days in Arizona with my family. Sweet Quinnie decided she didn't want to sleep while she was in Arizona, probably because she was having too much fun, but other than that, we had a blast. We had so much Nana and Grandpa time, she just lights up around them. Plus, Quinn loves her big boy cousins, so it was extra special to spend so much extra time with her cousins, Aunt and Uncle.
We're heading to Omaha for Christmas for more family time with her other cousins and family. While we may not live where family is, we're blessed with the best, so traveling is part of our gig. What are you guys doing for the holidays?
Fun Things:
Favorite book: The Nightingale. Guys, my initial review of this book was not great I was 100 pages in and it was pretty slow. But omg friends, read this book. It's so incredible. I can honestly say it's changed me. Read it as soon as possible.

Alright kids, thanks for catching up with me! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are prepping for a beautiful Christmas. Tell me in the comments what's new with you!
Happy Monday everyone! Long time no chat! As I write this, I'm literally living my best life. I'm eating Dairy Queen (it's my treat once a month), wearing a face mask, in bed and watching the American County Music Awards. This is 30 people and I'm damn well loving it.
It's been a while since I've done a life update and boy do we need a little update. It's already mid-April, I'm almost half way through pregnancy and I miss catching ya'll up. Grab your coffee ladies (& gents!), lets catch up.
Pregnancy Update // So, I'm officially 19 weeks (tomorrow!) meaning I'm almost half way through cooking this little babe. It's been a fairly good pregnancy and no joke, second trimester is where it's at. I started feeling great around week 16. My exhaustion faded, my appetite is back and while my bump is starting to show, I feel pretty dang good. What a lot of you don't know is I'm currently on modified bed rest. I hinted at an ER visit a while back, so here are the minor details. At week 13, I found myself bleeding a ton. I immediately thought miscarriage. A trip to the ER and I was told I have a hematoma growing outside the sac where the babe is. She is fine, but to ensure she stays put for another 25 weeks, I've been put on modified bed rest. No exercise, no lifting over 10 pounds and no real activity. But ya know, if I've learned anything, its that nothing is permanent and if a healthy baby requires bed rest, I'm resting. So if you wonder why a lot of my pictures are me in my house, that's why. I'm hoping my 21 week appointment, the ultrasound shows the hematoma is shrinking and we can resume some activity. Fingers crossed.
Job Update // Work has been nuts but luckily I work from home so I can manage the work load and baby bed rest. I have some exciting work stuff coming up and I can't wait to share with you what I've been working on in my 9-5 job. It's going to be great!
Blog Update // Maternity has definitely changed the way I approach blogging because all of a sudden there is so much more to chat about. I'm going to try and keep the pregnancy posts to a minimum, one or two posts a week. But I do have some amazing collabs and GIVEAWAYS coming up. These are ones you don't wanna miss.

Carrie Underwood is back // This may seem like a life update for Carrie and not me, but she is my favvvv so when she's back, I'm talking about it. Back in November, Carrie Underwood fell at her house and broke her wrist and had some major face stitches (like 40!). Last night, she made her appearance at the ACMs and KILLED it. If you didn't see it, you have to look it up. Or just blast her new song on repeat for ever.
Henry turned 9! // For those of you who don't know the story of Henry, let me tell ya. I had just moved back to Arizona after college and it was my 22 birthday. My BFF Coti came over before we were going out with my birthday gift. She brought me a dog carrier bag. I was freaking out thinking she got me a dog. It turned out to be my fav clutch to date. But the next day, we were dog hunting. I dragged her all over the city looking at dogs, meeting people in parking lots, farms and after a drive way south twice and Henry puking on her in the car, we were bringing Henry home. He's lived in Scottsdale, Omaha and now Denver. He's a country-wide traveler and the absolute love of my life and now he's 9!
Jackson, WY // This Easter, Adam and I road tripped to Jackson with some friends for a long weekend. The rest of the group skied while I brunched at Persephone Bakery, we made home cooked meals, bopped around the city and spent some R&R in the snow capped mountains. If you haven't been to Jackson, you need to go asap! It's a dream land.
The day care saga // If you've been following on Insta stories you know Adam and I have been touring daycare for our baby girl who isn't even born. Welp, today I enrolled her! Crazy. She has an official start date and isn't even here! I'll be marking that date as the day I spend crying while my baby goes off to college, I mean daycare.
Oh hi friends! How the heck are ya? Long time no talk! July was such a blur. Here we are in August, holy moly. Happy August! July was so fun, full of lots of visitors, birthdays, adventures and time with family and friends. We are getting closer and closer to Christmas and I cannot wait! Yes, I'm one of those people who starts talking about Christmas in August, so sue me.
But anyways, it's August, a lot happened in July and let's catch up, shall we?
July started with a BANG. One of my best girls, Callie got married in Napa in the dreamiest wedding ceremony I've ever seen. We actually danced until midnight, drank the most delicious wine and took thousands of photos. It was such an amazing weekend under the stars and between the vines. I cannot wait to go back.
While we were in San Francisco we celebrated Coti's 30 birthday! Whoo hoo, welcome the dirty thirty Coti, it rocks. So glad I got to celebrate you early!
Following Napa is always hard. But in July, we cheered on the Rockies, I cheered on Adam while he ran the tough mudder and we enjoyed a long weekend in Breckenridge with friends. We capped the long month off with a trip with Adam's family to Estes Park.
Estes Park is a dream situated right at the front range of the Rocky Mountains and at the eastern entrance of the Rocky Mountain National Park. It also borders the Roosevelt National Forest. It is a vision.
We hiked Deer Mountain Trail, bought our body weight in salt water taffy and shopped main street.
We ate at Latitude 105 which has the BEST good eva. The atmosphere is eh, but the food is amazing.
We grabbed drinks at Estes Park Brewery, pizzas at Poppy's, Italian food at the Dunraven Inn, lunch at Mama Rosa's and drinks at Marys Lake 1929 Tavern.
Safe to say, we love great drinks and food.
The last day of our weekend was Adam's birthday! He fly fished with his dad and then we had a great lunch and finished the night with dinner at the Stanley. We ate dinner at The Cascades at the Stanley Hotel, best known for it's part in the Shining. It's allegedly haunted and there are rooms you can stay in that are more haunted for your chance to see a ghost or something. Happy 31st birthday to my hubs, you are the best thing in this world.
How was your July? What did you do? Tell me everything. Ps. If you're not signed up for the newsletter, you wanna be! A new one is coming out Sunday!

But anyways, it's August, a lot happened in July and let's catch up, shall we?

My favorite forever wedding date
Could this couple be any more gorgeous. Cheers to the happiest couple!
Obsessed with this bride bun.

My best little girlfriend.
Rockies games are fun. Still learning the rules, but sitting outside with a beer is the best.
Proud of Adam for running the tough mudder.
12 miles running through the mountains and doing random course challenges. Whew, he's tough.

Hi friends! Long time no talk! This poor little space of mine has been so neglected. January and February were kind of dud months, am I right? Like, why is the coldest and dreariest month (January) the longest. Ay. Anyways. I tried doing paleo January and it lasted me 2 weeks. I gotta live, especially on the weekends.
If you're like me and you neglect your blog, maybe you're also like me and LOVE Instagram. Here's my plug that when I'm not blogging, I'm most likely on Instagram. You can find all the good stuff there.
Let's catch up.
Bachelor. Did you see that Nick is "happily ever after?" He picked Vanessa, who is probably the most argumentative contestant ever. On After the Final Rose, all they talked about was how hard it's been, but.... they love each other. So, we shall see. One piece of relationship advice my mother always gave me growing up was "It shouldn't be that hard." Yes, relationships are constant work and dedication to each other, but the day to day should not be a constant battle. But, hey, I'm a lover of love and will wish them the best. I would not be totally shocked if Nick was on Bachelor in Paradise this summer though, just sayin.
I'm an aunt again! My darling SIL had a beautiful little baby boy, Otto. He is a little dream boat. I am now an aunt to FIVE adorable nieces and nephews. If my SIL's keep up the good work, maybe the pressure will be taken off Adam and I. Well, probably not, but maybe a little. The last weekend in February, Adam and I zipped back to Omaha to get in some much needed family time and of course, baby snuggles. It was so darn cold in Omaha, but we managed to get a ton in. We surprised my father in law for his 60th birthday, watched Otto get baptized, had lots of drinks with friends and snuck in an early AM brunch with the girls. Oh Omaha. I love you. I love you so much I'm coming back this weekend.
My cousin Rachel is considering making a big move from Detroit to Denver and wanted to come out and visit. Needless to say, we hit the ground running the second she landed. Our first night, we went to Kitchen in downtown and my love, it was so delicious. If my Denver people are reading, stop what you're doing and make reservations. It's so bomb.com. Then we had to show her Union Station, Red Rocks, Linger in Highlands, breweries, hikes and pure barre. It was such a fun weekend. Now, if you know of anyone needing a speech therapist for kiddos, let me know. It is now my life mission to get her to Denver.
Blog Photo Shoot: I had my first semi-official blog photo shoot. Can we just talk about how nerve wrecking and unnatural it is for me to pose. This is NOT a thing for me. People are so good at it, and I'm over here trying to not make my face look like I'm pooping. Needless to say I was so nervous. But, ya know what I spent 5 hours in front of a camera and I'm pretty damn proud that I finally conquered my photo blog fear. So hey, haters, comment how you'd like. Here's hoping they only get better. Fashion bloggers, send all the tips.
And the best part, next week, there will be an entire blooper blog. You don't want to miss it. Here's a sneak peak of me causally drinking wine at Union Station. I'm so natural. HA!
Happy Thursday my friends. We are so dang close to the end of the week. This weekend my future sister in law Nico is having her bachelorette party so I'm hoping over to Omaha for a weekend of girlfriends, pictures and to be honest, probably too much wine. This is when you wanna follow me on Snapchat, because we all know bachelorette parties are prime for snaps. (Kgrace01)
Tomorrow, I'm gonna let you get to know me a little better. It'll be fun! Stay tuned.

The snow started falling in Denver on Sunday around noon and stopped falling on Monday at noon. Needless to say, the drive into work Monday was super fun! I'm pretty sure the only thing that loves snow is Miss Lola. If you're not following me on Snapchat (Kgrace01) you are missing out on her adventures!
I heard something on the radio stating the third Monday in January is the most depressing of all days out of all months. While I don't love snow days that require me to go into work, I think it's cool/ironic that MLK Day fell on this "most depressing day." MLK's message was one of love and acceptance. I love this part in his speech --
Lots of happenings over here in Denver. Let's do a little roundup.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
This is our hope. This is the faith that I go back to the South with. With this faith, we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope. With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood. With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to stand up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day. That is our hope. That is our dream.

What is up friends. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I have been the most MIA blogger in the world. Can we just chat about that for a minute? Last week was seriously my nightmare. At work until so late every night (we are talking 830pm), at work early (like 730am) and I'm pretty sure I didn't put a dent in any of the piles on my desk.
Add that to a 5 month old puppy who can never get enough exercise and I'm pretty sure I thought to myself at one point that it was going to stay that week forever.
It's been a long time since I filled ya in on life! I feel like lately I've been trying to sell ya on stuff, which let's be honest, it's been some cool stuff. But let's chat. Grab a coffee, I got a lot to tell ya, it's been a while.
In case you missed it, about a month ago, I had some girlfriends in town and we did Denver big! It's so fun exploring the city you live in with people who have never been. I have always loved Denver, but showing it off to new people makes me fall more in love with it. PS. if you are even in Denver, hit me up! I love buddies.
[side-note] you should probably add something a little stronger to your coffee at this point, we're not even half way there. I suggest baileys.
Speaking of Baileys -- Do you guys watch RHOC? Did you see they went to the farm in Ireland where they make the cream for baileys? I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want to milk a cow, but I'm so down to try the cream they make! I'm obsessed with Baileys. You will find me come Thanksgiving sipping on it, every night. Ok, maybe not every night, but a lot.
Whew, anywayyyss -- After the girls trip, my brother-in-law and his future wife came in town! They are so fun, we just have the best time hanging out with them. We went to the Great American Beer Fest, which is pretty much beer heaven. Did you know it's the largest beer convention! It's incredible. And the funniest part, you can only eat what you wear. Think pretzel necklaces and even chipotole burritos on string. I wish I was lying. Oh and to top that weekend off, my future sister-in-law asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! Let's get them hitched!
Oh, Chipotle. I went there last week to grab burrito bowls for Adam and I and the line was horrendous. I would have thought that whole salmonella thing would have turned people away. Instead it seems to be encouraging it! I mean.. I guess it didn't deter us. If you go to Chiptole today dressed in costume, you can get a $3 anything! Enjoy!
Have you ever been to a four-year old mermaid birthday party? It is pretty awesome. My niece turned four and we made the road-trip to Omaha to help celebrate. It is so amazing how smart four year olds are! At one point I asked her why Elsa (one of her new dolls) had combat boots on and she looked up at me and told me it was because that was how God made Elsa and she is perfect because God made her perfect. Heart melted. Ovaries melting.
This last weekend my parents were in town and it was amazing. They came in Friday and delicious wine and food was enjoyed all weekend. We took them to our favorite, Breckenridge Brewery which is just the coolest. For dinner Saturday, we ventured to the Highlands and went to Old Major for dinner. If you are in Denver and haven't been, you must go! It is so delicious. Sunday was the grand finale -- the Broncos game and a Broncos win!
Today, I am starting the day, busier than ever but with a much lighter heart and feeling. It's amazing what a weekend with your parents can do for the soul.
Cheers to a better week, delicious candy and it only being a month and a half away from Christmas!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of hosting two of my best girl friends FIRST weekend in Denver. Both of them had spent time in the mountains, but neither had spent any time in Denver. The pressure to show them a great weekend was on. I contacted some of my Denver girls and asked for their must haves.
Coti and Jen arrived around 6pm on Friday night and we we're doing Denver things until I dropped them at the airport Sunday afternoon. It was a jam-packed weekend full of food, cocktails, snapchats and laughs. It was one for the record books and I cannot wait until our next girls trip. See ya next October, Portland!
Let's start with some Denver history:
Coti and Jen arrived around 6pm on Friday night and we we're doing Denver things until I dropped them at the airport Sunday afternoon. It was a jam-packed weekend full of food, cocktails, snapchats and laughs. It was one for the record books and I cannot wait until our next girls trip. See ya next October, Portland!
Let's start with some Denver history:
- Denver really does sit at a mile high. There is a step on the State Capital Building that is exactly 5,280 feet about sea level. Golf balls go further, tennis balls are hit harder, the sun feels hotter and alcohol packs more of a punch.
- Denver was founded on November 22, 1858 and the Denver metro currently has 3,418,876 people.
- Denver has 300 days of sunshine. Did you know this was used to convince people to come out and build the railroad? It worked!
- Denver is not in the mountains, it's near them. Our views are spectacular.
- Denver is the second highest educated city.
- We have seven profession sports teams! GO BRONCOS.
- The Broncos just became the winniest team in history. How does that taste Kobe?
- Denver brews more beer than any city in the nation.
- There is a blue horse as you enter the airport (the largest airport in terms of land in the country) and it's cursed. It fell on it's sculptor and killed him. The horse has red eyes. Yikes.
- There are more marijuana dispensaries than Starbucks.
It is really easy to find amazing stuff to do in Denver. The nightlife is amazing, the food is some of the best I've eaten and the views are spectacular. Make sure when you come you bring both a jacket and shorts. The weather here is crazy, but beautiful. Oh, and make sure you are doing Denver right by bringing your best girls. That always makes life more fun. Let's get to it shall we?
FOOD:
- Colt & Gray: It's a must go. They describe themselves as a locally owned and operated neighborhood restaurant serving the highest quality food and drink in an elegant yet comfortable environment. I am not joking when I say this is a must. We started with oysters and a charcuterie board and shared the mushroom soup. We sipped on dirty (filthy for Coti!) martinis and amazing cocktails. Okay, we indulged! We shared the ciopionni and the roasted chicken. Oh and to top it off, we got home made cheesecake. It was too good not too!
- Osteria Marco: This is one of our favorite places. It sits on Larimer Street, which is the most darling little street. It's cozy, comfy and has the best homemade burrata I've ever tried. We take all of our friends here. It's the best place to share a bottle of red wine and a charcuterie (yes, we love cheese boards.) IF you go you have to try the burrata. Homemade mozzarella stuffed with homemade ricotta. It's to die for. Split a wood-fired pizza and a bottle of wine and you are all set!
- Linger: Great food, great rooftop and bottomless mimosas. Linger serves, brunch, lunch and dinner but I LOVE it for brunch. It is semi asian-food inspired with some chorizo and nutella waffles thrown in. We all got a different bun; pork belly, dragon, pork and Mongolian beef. Coti and Jen got ramen and I got a Banh Mi sandwich. Blood orange mimosas on the rooftop to follow. The cool thing about Linger is it used to be a mortuary called Olinger (see the picture below).
Colt & Gray: Charcuterie, Oysters, Chicken and Ciopionni
Linger: Ramen, the Original sign and Chorizo tacos!
COFFEE AND SNACKS:
- Little Man Ice Cream: The cutest little ice cream spot in the Highlands. Get there early or your wait will be crazy! Delicious flavors, vintage outfits and the best photo opps.
- Black Eye Coffee: It was named the number one Instagramable coffee shop! And it does not disappoint! We sipped on delicious coffee and split an avocado toast. So delicious and so cute. The copper and gold accents make this place the cutest coffee shop around.
- VooDoo Doughnut: This originates out of Oregon and has the most delicious (and crazy!) donuts around. The wait is usually around 30 minutes and the parking is difficult, but the sweet smell of donuts is worth the wait.
- Pigtrain Coffee Shop: This little coffee shop is located in Union Station. This is a darling little shop, nice baristas and Union Station is the best! Our milk was sour...which was a huge negative, but usually this place is amazing.
- Terminal Bar. This place rocks! Old school bar with delicious cocktails and a great feel.

Union Station: Terminal Bar
Voodoo Donuts and Little Man Ice Cream
PLACES TO GO:
- Larimer Square: The cutest street. It was actually designed after the Champs-Elysées in Paris! It's full of restaurants, bars, shops, speakeasys and coffee shops. It's a brick street lined with lights and is more than picturesque.
- Red Rocks Amphitheater: Unless you are living under a rock, you've heard of Red Rocks. It has to be the most beautiful place. Plus, the concerts there are the best ever. If you have a chance, go! There are concerts, yoga on the rocks, movie on the rocks and hikes. It is a dream.
- The Art Hotel: We went here for drinks in their bar and it was amazing. IT is right in the heart of downtown. They have a huge fire-pit on the deck and the best cocktail and truffle fries ever. We ordered this amazing strawberry martini with a balsamic glaze. It sounds weird, but it was the best drink.
- Union Station: Filled with shops, restaurants, flower shops, coffee shops and a hotel! It's a great place to grab a drink and people watch. Plus the mix of old time feel with updated cocktails is perfect!
Red Rocks Amphitheater
The most amazing view.
