Happy Thursday and Happy New Years Eve Eve Eve! It's that time again, time for my most fascinating people list. As you may know, I LOVE any kind of celebrity news or gossip. I am a sucker for scandals, snapchat wars and all things that cause chaos in the world of celebrity. This year has involved lots of breakups, gold medals, new couples getting together, old couples breaking up and let's not forget the worst election in history.
Politics is usually not my blog thing. Heck, I commented on one thing on Facebook regarding politics and my blood pressure still hasn't gone down. However, I find my 2016 list has more politicos on it than I'd like to admit. The politicos are not based on policies just on their ability to be fascinating.
Ya know what else? Someone in the Kardashian/Jenner clan has been on every fascinating list I've ever written. And not even Khloe, the good one. That pretty much goes against everything I believe in, but what can I say, they are the definition of fascinating.
Let me preface this list with this: These people are fascinating, some for the right reasons, some for the wrong reasons and some just because I think they are funny. I fully understand that there are more deserving people, but this list is done in jest, please take it that way.
Time Magazine did a most influential people list and those people are the most influential, worthy of praise. This list is fascinating. Who do you think is most fascinating?
Let's take a quick look back at 2014 (10-6) (5-1) and 2015 (10-6) (5-1). Whew.
The last few years were crazy, but I think 2016 just might top it. Grab your glass of wine and hold on tight, let's do this.
10. Meghan Markle. The girl who broke Prince Harry. She's an actress, humanitarian, clothing designer and on top of it all, drop dead gorgeous. She's been acting since she was a little girl, you may know her from Suits or General Hospital or the 29 other shows she's been in. In 2016, she became the Global Ambassador for World Vision Canada, worked with the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and worked for the Empowerment of Women as an advocate. Apparently now, Queen Elizabeth approves of her relationship with Harry. 2016 was pretty fascinating for Meghan and it looks like 2017 is only going to get better.
9. Dream Kardashian et all. This poor girl and her poor family. Yes, she's a Kardashian, but she's also the center of some very fascinating drama between her mom and dad. Remember up above how I said I love snapchat fights. Well in case you missed it, last weekend Blac Chyna left her house she shared with Rob Kardashian and took Dream and all the stuff in her room. Rob then went on Snapchat to show us all what went down. But, now they're back together. Oh, and Blac is trying to trademark the Kardashian name. They have only been together about a year, but it is surely the most fascinating celebrity relationship I've ever seen. And at the middle of it all, a Dream.
8. Cubs Fans. In case you missed it, the Chicago Cubs won the world series for the first time in 108 years. Let that sink in. Most fans weren't even alive the last time they won a pennant, which was 71 years ago. Now, they are World Series Champs and most of the world became fans. Ya gotta give it up for Cubs Fans, they have been rooting for a team that never wins. That is some dedication if you ask me. And the thing about Cubs fans, they're only going to get stronger because now they have a win under their belt and the Cubs are still a good team. Jump on the bandwagon folks, being a Cubs fan just got fascinating.
7. Pokémon. A free-to-play, location based video game. This game created quite a stir; people were walking in to traffic, violating peoples privacy by walking into their yards and getting hurt. Pokémon originally came out in 1990 when the Game Boy was released and has been a phenomenon every since. I have to be totally honest, I legit have no idea what a Pokemon is or even the concept behind the entire thing. But, it is clear, people love it. as of December 7th, it was reported that since Pokémon GO’s release, players have walked over 8.7 billion kilometers in total, which is equal to over 200,000 trips around the earth. During all that walking, they were able to catch a massive total of 88 billion Pokémon, which Niantic says equates to capturing roughly 533 million Pocket Monsters each day. I'm not sure what all that Pocket Monster business is, but Niantic, the creator, has had quite a fascinating year.
6. Priyanka Chopra. This one might be new for some of you, but I highly recommend looking her up. If not, she'll be a household name before you have the chance. She is currently the star of Quanitco, one of ABC's number one dramas. But before that she was the queen of Bollywood. She has made over 50 movies and is beautiful, talented and a hard-worker. Yes, she was always a star in Bollywood, but now she is crushing it in the states. She'll be the next number 1 Hollywood actress before she knows it. Life has always been pretty great for Priyanka, but I think 2016 was her most fascinating.
5. Lebron James. Where do we start with Lebron? Let's pick the less obvious route. Lebron James started a foundation in order to positively affect the lives of children in Ohio through education and curricular educational activities. He is doing huge things in his community, a lesson other athletes could learn from. His foundation is incredible and is enough to make Lebron fascinating. Now to the less obvious. Lebron brought a championship to Cleveland for the first time since 1964. Life in Cleveland just got way more interesting.
4. Simone Biles. 19 years old. 4 feet 9 inches tall. 10x Gold Medalist. 2016 Olympics individual all-around champ and vault champion. 3-time world all-around champion, 3-time world floor champion, 2-time world balance beam champion, 4-time United States national all-around champion and a member of the gold medal-winning American teams at the 2014 and 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Do I really need to give any more stats as to why this girl rocks. In 2016, she became the most decorated gymnast in US History. This girl is a bad-ass and only continues to be more fascinating as time goes on. I have a feeling she could be on the list for years and years to come.
3. Lin-Manuel Miranda and the entire cast of Hamilton. I for one did not really grasp how cool this play would be until I listened to the soundtrack (thanks Bryn!). Now, I'm obsessed and trying to figure out how I can come up with $10,000 to see the play on Broadway. The musical made its debut off Broadway in February, 2015 and by August, 2015 was transferred to Broadway. Miranda wrote the book, music and lyrics for Hamilton and then played the role of Hamilton until his departure in July, 2016. Did you know people actually paid $10,000 to get tickets to see him? This musical has received 16 Tony noms, winning 11, including best musical, won a Grammy in 2016 and in 2016 a Pulitzer Prize for drama. There has even been a 60% increase in babies being named Hamilton in the last year. Oh, and Miranda will make over 6.4 million this year just made on his various roles in the production of Hamilton. This musical has swept the country over the last two years and it's safe to say 2016 was pretty fascinating for Miranda and the entire cast.
2. Hillary Clinton. No Hillary is not 2 because she is a woman or a democrat. Do not even start with that. She is number 2 because she did not win. We done? Hillary Clinton is fascinating to me for multiple reasons. First, the obvious, first woman to run for President and be the Democratic Nominee. Go girls. Second, she battled Donald, which even though she lost is pretty damn fascinating. Did you know she used to be a republican, cue the gasps, yep. she campaigned for Barry Goldwater in 1964, was the 3rd female secretary of state in US history and hasn't driven a car since 1996? She fights hard for what she thinks is right and regardless of your stance on her politics, I think it's obvious that Hills year was pretty damn fascinating.
1. Trump. Regardless of your view on Trump, you have to admit, this human is pretty damn fascinating. Multi-millionaire reality TV star, father of five, gone President? That's crazy enough for number one on this list and on pretty much every other list out there. He's insulted everyone from here to the moon, challenged every stereotype and fallen into many. He's loud, brash, aggressive, hardworking, successful and our President-Elect. He announced he was running for President on June 16, 2015 and from there things have only gotten more fascinating (and kinda weird) for this man. The next four years are going to be pretty fascinating. Hold on tight everyone, it could be a bumpy ride.
Well, there ya have it. Some crazy shit went down this year and it's only appropriate to commemorate them with the most fascinating list. Who would you put on your list?
Here are some nominations that didn't quite cut it but I'd hate to leave them off:

- Bernie Sanders
Only three days till 2017 and then we start building the list for next year!
If you guys saw my eye glasses right now you would cringe, as do I every night when I put them on. Adam and I went to Lake Tahoe this summer and as we were leaving to come home. I realized I left my glasses, threw them in my suitcase and on the plane we went. It wasn't until I got home and my glasses were bent in half that I realized how dumb that was.
That happened 6 months ago. Weeps.
To be totally honest, I don't love wearing glasses. I read and look down a lot and they fall off, they leave those weird little marks on the bridge of my nose and most touch my eyelashes. I much prefer contacts. That being said, I understand the importance of a good pair of glasses.
On to the embarrassing story of 2016. About 3 weeks ago when I was getting ready, I reached into my drawer for contacts and realized I had one left eye contact left. I have different prescriptions in both eyes, and I have two eyes, so one contact did not work. I literally looked everywhere for a contact. Maybe I left on in my makeup bag? Travel bag? Workout bag? Nope, nada. I am unfortunately not one of those people that can go without glasses. I cant see far away, so the whole driving situation would be a little difficult.
I was going to have to wear my crooked, sideways, bent glasses to work. Oh, and I had three hearings that day in federal court. Talk about humiliating. I didn't even post this on snapchat I was so embarrassed. I didn't tell Coti. I didn't tell my mom. I went to my hearings, took off my glasses when I was in front of the judge and faked it until I didn't make it. I tried my hardest not to squint, but I'm pretty sure the judge could tell something was up.
It was then I finally realized I needed to bite the bullet and buy new glasses. Where do I go for new glasses? Warby Parker ladies and gents. The genius behind Warby Parker came from the idea that glasses were too expensive. Genius. The best part - for every pair of glasses you buy, they make a donation to cover the cost of outsourcing glasses, eye exams and give more frames to people who need them.
Well, if that didn't sell ya on WB, you should go look at their glasses! They have tons of variety, shapes, colors and sizes. The coolest part, they offer FREE try-ons! That's right FREE. You don't even have to enter a credit card number, Pick out five pairs you like, try them on, send them back. All free.
Because I was in desperate need of glasses, I raced to Warby Parker to get my at home try-ons shipped! I've had the same small shaped glasses forever, so I wanted to try something different. I picked out five different pairs and I definitely have my favorites but I'm not sure which ones to pick.
Here's the fun part. I need your help! Below are the five glasses I tried on. (PS these pictures are so embarrassing). I need you to vote on your favorite! Who knows, the one who picks the one I buy might just win a little giveaway. Ya never know people, it's the holidays, I'm feeling generous.
Wanna know the worst part about these pictures, besides how awkward I am? Well, never-mind that is 100% the worst part. So mortifying!
Anyways. now you've seen the embarrassing pictures. It is time to vote! I really need your help!
Pick below! Which glasses should replace my horrible, bent ones?
So, you've learned about Warby Parker today, if you didn't already know. Now it's your turn! Go to Warby Parker and pick out your new frames! They are great quality, great price and an even better cause.
Happy Tuesday everyone! We're just that much closer to Christmas! Eeek!

Happy Tuesday everyone! We're just that much closer to Christmas! Eeek!
It's officially Christmas week everyone! I don't know about you, but I am feeling unusually festive for a Monday morning. This weekend, Denver graced us with -5 degree temperatures forcing Adam and I to stay inside, watch movies and for me, bake!
We watched Home Alone, one of my all time favorite christmas movies and it made me realize how horrible Kevin's family is?! I mean, that scene in the kitchen, yikes! And, one thing I don't get - does Kevin ever tell him family about what happened while they were gone? I mean, the cops just left him house and didn't think to come back and tell his mom and dad? Seems a little unrealistic to me.
So, now that we've gotten Home Alone straighten out, let's talk about things I love. I love christmas, I love hallmark movies (who is with me here), I love baileys and last but not least, donuts. It is no secret that I love donuts. If you follow me on Instagram (kgrace01) you will see that I post a new donut picture about once a month. I cannot help myself. Those sugary little circles are my favorite.
My best friend Coti is obsessed with donies. When we were in college, we would go at 2am to the donut store to get the fresh, warm donuts right out of the oven. Man, I miss the days when 4000 calories at 2am didn't go straight to my hips. Also, my donut dish is from my paleo guru, Callie. This recipe is dedicated to Coti and Callie, my two best girls always making sure I'm making the best recipes. <3
My love for donuts is almost always squashed when I try to make them paleo. They are good, but just not as good as regular, white sugar donuts. I made some apple cider donuts a while back and Adam has never asked me to make them again, which is usually a good hint that he was crazy about them. I never really mastered paleo donut making, until now.
I found inspiration for this recipe on Paleo Hacks, one of my go-to recipe blogs. I used different flour, more of some ingredients and less than others and I am so pumped about how these little babies turned out.
Because it's Christmas, I decided on some to crush some candy canes and sprinkle them on top. Cute and SO festive, am I right? Ya know what else would be good? Melt those candy candy kisses and drizzle that on top! Oh man, I know what I'm making this weekend.
This little babies would be a perfect treat for Christmas morning. Can you just imagine. I would have to make like 12 dozen, my fambam would gobble these up. Without further ado, let's get to the good part.
Ingredients:
The best part about these little donuts is that you don't feel like you're eating that many because they are so tiny. So like 9 tiny donuts equals one right? Cool, glad we are on the same page here. Don't mind me, I'll be in the kitchen coming up with all the different things to drizzle on top of these. I wonder if you can melt baileys and mix it with chocolate to make a boozy syrup. I'll report back.
Happy Monday! Happy one week until Christmas! Happy 2 weeks until 2017! Let the countdowns begin!

Happy Monday! Today is running a little slow for me today. After a long weekend in Vail (ps follow me on Snap for the fun stuff - @kgrace01) I am tired. Dragging a little bit. But I have the best recipe for you tomorrow and then a Vail recap tomorrow! Get excited!
Anyways. I love being the hostess. I love hosting dinner, lunch, wine nights, cookie nights, study parties, you name it I will host it. There is something about having all your friends and family at your house that makes things like that so special. I am definitely the Monica of my friends. While I wish I was more like Rachel from Friends, I am 100% Monica. And if you don't know who Monica is... I advise a little Netflix and Chill session for your future.
Wikipedia describes Monica as, "a very organized character with a signature Type A personality who enjoys being in charge, Monica is known for being a "neat freak" obsessed with cleanliness – especially when it comes to maintaining the impeccable condition of her apartment –neurotic, extremely obsessive-compulsive, and competitive in nature, personality traits that are exaggerated for humor and comic relief; The character is also the loudest of her friends."
A neat freak, competitive and enjoys being in charge? Oh, and I love hosting. I wish my traits were exaggerated for humor... buttttt -- don't get me wrong, I love going to my friends houses but there is something about hosting that just gets me excited.
In the last few months, a group of us have started a dinner club group where once a month (or more) we get together at someones house and eat, drink and catch up. The hostess makes the mail course and everyone else brings sides, wine, basically whatever they want. This month dinner club was at my house except it was breakfast because the Bronocs were playing (and won!).
Ever since Adam and I met, his mother made the most amazing breakfast casserole. We'd eat it on Sundays when at the lake, Christmas morning, bridal brunches, baby showers and more.
Any time there is an event before 1pm, a breakfast casserole is the best dish. I knew this breakfast casserole would be perfect for our breakfast club because I could prepare it beforehand and then get to hang out with my friends instead of tending to the food the entire time.
Attention: this casserole takes 90 minutes to cook - don't be like me and forget that small detail.
Wanna know the best part about this casserole - 8 ingredients but ALL the flavor. This is the perfect thing for a lazy Christmas morning! Alright, enough chit chat, let's get to it. Oh hey, I forgot to take an after picture - whoops!
Ingredients:

The hash-browns and the mixture. Ya gotta trust me, it turns out to be amazing!
- 24 ounces frozen potatoes - I use a frozen bag of hash browns
- salt and pepper
- 12 eggs (or up to 16 depending on how eggy you like it)
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 teaspoon season salt (the secret best ingredient!)
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
- 2 cups pepper jack cheese, grated
- 2 cups (1 package) precooked jimmy dean skinless sauces, cut into bites
- Optional: cholula
- Turn oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 9x13 inch pan. Add the potatoes to the bottom of the pan, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, then add the half and half, season salt, both cheeses and the sausage.
- Pour egg mixture over the frozen potatoes.
- If preparing ahead of time, cover with foil and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- If ready, bake for 90 minutes. I cover it in foil for the first half and then take it off for the second half. I love it a little browned. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Enjoy!

Happy Monday Friends! Get excited for my Vail update tomorrow!
Hi peeps, whats up! Long time no blog! I've missed you guys and I've missed this space! It is (finally!) Friday, we are 23 days away from Christmas and I am pumped.
Can we talk about my beef with the holidays for just a quick sec? My beef with the holidays is that work still goes on even when there are holiday parties to attend, presents to wrap, baileys to drink and friends to hang out with. I don't think work should be a mandatory thing during the holidays, but anywho.
Let's chat.
Wanna hear something crazy. Last week I got an email from my blog host saying my blog was down! Do you know how terrifying that is. Pulled up my url and boom, it was gone. My host didn't even call/email/text nothing to tell me. But don't you worry, after about 3 phone calls and some screaming, Everyday Grace is back up and running. Sorry if I scared ya'll there, I'm not going anywhere.
You guys probably all know my blogging mentor, Helene, from Helene in Between - but did you know she has the ultimate Instagram course. Literally the best thing I've ever seen. It's called Instagram for Success and it's insane. Videos, handouts, and all the tools needed to grow your Instagram. The thing I love about Insta is even when I disappear here, I can still connect with all my blogger-loves on Insta! You can find all the goodies HERE! Or click below! GO now, it'll be literally the best thing you ever do for your blog and instagram.

If you didn't know, now you know, but Jennifer Lawrence is my favorite. I think she is probably the coolest actress out there. But, Chris Pratt is making her even cooler. Have you seen this Buzzfeed where he crops her out of all his pictures. It's hilarious. Now, I love them both. Please date.
I'm hosting a breakfast club this Sunday to watch the Broncos game and I am so excited for three reasons; (1) friends and broncos (2) breakfast casserole that's so easy and delish (3) mimosa bar. I CANNOT wait to show you all the details on Monday's post. Again, see above about that whole working during the holidays again.
I haven't taken our Christmas card picture this year and I am stressing. It is December 1 and no picture to be seen. I'm going to see if I can rope my neighbor into taking it. Please don't tell Adam, he will be mortified. But hopefully it'll make for a great picture. I already have my Minted card picked out! Last years was so cute, and I know Minted will do a great job again!
I know I'm late to this party, but I am obsessed with Pentatonix. I get it, they've been popular for like a bazillion years and I am new to their party, but people -- I cannot stop listening to their Christmas CD. It's insane. And yes, I still listen to CDs. Mary did you know is my favvvvvorite.
Congrats if you made it to the bottom of this ramble! This is the fun part. I really want to get to know other bloggers. I follow about 1000 but I don't know more than a handful and in full disclosure of honesty around here, I hate it. I love following people on Insta but it makes me feel crazy when I see a random person and don't even recognize their face. Anyone with me here?
Everyday Grace is starting something new. A blogger feature on the blog for FREE. Free never happens so let's do it. I know bloggers aren't supposed to give it up for free, but this is me honestly wanting to know you! Let's do it interview style. I want to get to know you and in the mean time, introduce you and your blog to others! Then we can actually grow a friendship, not just a follow-for-follow type thing.
Wanna be featured? Leave me a comment with your email address! Can't wait, this is going to be fun. Let's grow our sites together!
Happy Friday everyone! Have the best weekend.
Skin is one thing I struggle with when it comes to my own personal maintenance. I work out, I eat healthy, I take care of my nails, my hair and yet, when it comes to skin care, its something I neglect.
I've been using the same skin care for probably the last 4 years. And, to be honest, the main reason I haven't changed skin care, is because it been working, fairly well at least. It wasn't until I saw friends, who are my age, with glowing skin that I started to question what I was doing. I started asking around and heard about a plethora of products. My main thing in skin care is I want it to work and be affordable.
Hey, this is where I tell you that this is a sponsored post. I was gifted this product by Nip + Fab, but in the spirit of writing honestly, all comments and thoughts are purely my own.
Nip + Fab approached me about a month ago, asking if I'd be willing to try their product. The timing couldn't have been more perfect as I was already in the search for a new product. I jumped on the opportunity to try and in turn to hopefully share with you guys a great new product.
The thing I have with sponsored posts is that usually they ask for a turnaround post within a week. How could I try a product within a day and give an honest opinion? Nip + Fab has been great, I've had the products for two weeks, which I think is a great amount of time to see a difference. The cool perk to these products, they help with less fine lines and wrinkles! I'm not getting any younger, I will take what I can get!
Nip + Fab sent me four products to try (their details are straight from their website):
I tried the scrub and cannot get enough. It's a great cleanser but gentle enough that it doesn't irritate my skin. I followed up with the serum and my usual night cream and hit the sack. I woke up in the morning and my face felt amazing. It was clear and bright. Something I'm not used too! I used the night pads the next night followed by the same routine and I was even more impressed!
I followed that nightly skin routine for the next week and I could not believe how great my skin felt. In Colorado, especially in the winter, hydration is key. Sometimes I feel like I am not using enough on the skin and it is so dry. However, after using the serum and everything else, my face is moist and supple and I just love the way it feels.
Side-Note: a lot of times heavy moisturizers or serums can feel sticky or weigh you down. Not this one. It is so smooth and once dry (about 10 seconds) your face is smooth and hydrated.
Two nights ago, Adam and I tried the mask. Yes, I said Adam. Men can care about skin care too! It was great. Its only a ten minute mask which is perfect for busy lives. I loved this one. It goes on smooth and comes off smoother. It smells delish! After I used the product, I went through my nightly routine, only to wake feel amazing.
I know it sounds too good to be true, but honestly people, I love this product. It's so great and everyone loves a good skin care routine that doesn't take forever. It's simple and in no-time we'll be saying goodbye to those wrinkles.
You can find Nip + Fab HERE // HERE // HERE.
Happy Thursday everyone! I hope a little skin care chat made your week just a titch happier.
And remember, be kind. xx

Happy Tuesday friends! Or as the entire world is looking at it, happy day the election ads stop! Happy Election Day 2016, we made it!
Has is it hit anyone else that today our world will change in a HUGE way, regardless of the outcome? Today, the US will elect one of the two most un-electable candidates this country has ever nominated. That's fact, not opinion, look at the polls. But tomorrow, we will still be the greatest country in the world and that is what we must keep in focus.
Attention: The next few paragraphs are going to be politics related. I get it if you hate politics talk. I usually do to. However, I need to get my two-cents out. If you don't like politics, skip the paragraphs below (I indented them to make it easier), because I am sharing the yummiest popcorn recipe ever!
When Adam and I moved in to our house, we did so without a microwave. The original one doesn't work and the second one we bought at Home Depot actually caught fire and had to be thrown away. So for the last 9 months we have lived without a microwave. I thought it would be hard, but it's taught me how to make things a different way, and in the case of popcorn, the better way!
I ventured to Oil and Vinegar to visit my friend Jim and to learn about truffles. Did you know it's currently truffle season? They legit take dogs and pigs out to find and dig for truffles. I had no clue. I never knew how truffles grew or where they came from, let alone any kind of mushroom. All I knew is that I loved them.
Jim sent me home with truffle salt and truffle oil. I was off on my way to make the most delicious truffle popcorn, I could hardly wait.
There is a lot of research out there on truffles because, like cilantro, liking or hating them may have to do with your genetics. I for one thank my lucky stars that my genetics have allowed me to LOVE truffles. But, if you're like my dad, he hates them and says they smell like musty socks.
Regardless of your taste for truffles; real life, stove-popped popcorn is guaranteed to tickle your taste-bud fancies. The key to stove-popped popcorn -- white kernels. Don't buy yellow, that's the fake stuff. And, use coconut oil. Sometimes coconut oil is not appropriate because you don't want that flavor, but trust me here. The coconut oil flavor on white popcorn is killer.

I have written my two cents about this whole election process about 100 times and it never felt right to me. I've woken up in the middle of the night to write what I was dreaming about. I've deleted posts, re-written posts and it never worked. I've tried to articulate my thoughts without using offending words, thoughts or comments but I realized in this election specifically, that is impossible.
Here's my summary of everything I worked through in my head in the past couple days. Tomorrow this will all be over. Tomorrow the US will still be standing and we will still be great because at the end of the (election) day, it's her people that make her great. It's her hard-working, passionate men and woman who want her to be great and will continue to make her great.
I won't try to change your beliefs on the hot button issues because at the end of the day, you've chosen to believe that way based on life experiences and situations you've been a part of, ones that have shaped you and molded you and are experiences I will never have. The best I can do is listen to you, hear your heart and respect your beliefs and in turn I hope that you respect mine.
So remember that when you're making your last minute digs or remarks. One candidate will win and the other will fade away but the people who you degraded on the way to defend your candidates "honor" will never forget the words you used.
My hope is at the end of this, we can move on, backing whatever candidate wins, because if we don't come together we will continue to fall apart. Being united is what makes American great. So whether you're with her and want to make america great again, I hope we can all agree, that none of that will happen if we don't start listening to each other, really listening and working together. While we watch history made today in one way or another at least let's do it with wine and delicious popcorn.

- 1/3 cup white kernel popcorn
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- Heavy bottom pan
- Salt (or truffle salt!)
- Truffle oil
- On medium heat, heat up the 2 tablespoons coconut oil and put in one popcorn kernel. Put the lid on.
- Wait until you hear the one kernel pop.
- Put the 1/3 cup in the pan.
- When you hear the first pop, start to shake the pan slowly (all with the lid on).
- The popping should start like crazy!
- When you can count to 5 between pops, pull it off the heat.
- Pour into a bowl, sprinkle with truffle oil and truffle salt and enjoy!
- If you aren't using truffle oil, no need for more oil. Sprinkle with salt and devour!
Enjoy the popcorn everyone! And please don't forget to VOTE. That is the only way to have your voice heard,. May God Bless the Election and may God Bless America.
Happy Friday friends! This week seemed to flyyyyy -- did anyone else have that feeling? This week was so exciting watching the Cubs win! I didn't really care who win seeing they both haven't won in years, but watching Bill Murray and all those boys was too cute for words. Congrats Cubs, you deserve this one big time!
I am so glad Friday is here. A relaxing weekend is just what the doctor ordered. Every Friday I always think, this weekend I'm going to get a ton of blog posts written. But ya know what? I haven't felt like it. Let's get a little raw here, shall we?
We've talked about this before. The immense pressure to put pen to paper and give you something you need, something pinnable, something fascinating. I started avoiding my blog email at all costs because it meant I had to feel the guilt that comes with this space. That is a terrible feeling.
This space is supposed to be where I go for inspiration and excitement. But lately all it makes me feel is inadequate. Every time I express these feelings, I get the same response, "but you're a good blogger, keep it up." Don't get the message twisted here, this isn't a sayonara to blogging. But it is a slow down.
I started thinning out Facebook bloggers (I was following over 500!) That's crazy. I want to read the people I love, not feel like I have to follow everyone in the world because it's what I'm supposed to do. I was missing my blogging besties blogs because I was following people I had never heard of.
I stopped taking "classes" because it's overwhelming and makes me feel bad about myself and who needs that. I stopped reading those posts that are only about growing and success because I'm here to connect with people. If my blog stays this little space because I'm not posting at the right time, then that's okay.
I got an email this morning with these stats --
Facebook – 2 times per day
Twitter – 3 times per day
LinkedIn – 1 time per day
Google+ – 3 times per day
Pinterest – 5x per dayInstagram – 1.5 times per day
...And it said quote, "But it’s not just about posting more stuff on social. If you want to get 40 times more engagement on each social media post you must do this daily."
If I learned anything in law school, it's that an answer with a must or always in the answer is always a wrong answer.
I want this space to grow because you, all of you fabulous readers out there like it and help it grow! And while we are talking about readers, here's a quick thank you! I have the best blog friends in the world. You are more supportive than some of my real-life friends. You reach out, you send emails, you comment and it means the world. THAT is why I do this! You are why I love to write.
So you are all probably wondering why I just ranted forever about pretty much nothing. Well, ranting is how I hold myself accountable and its how to release some self guilt. Here's what I want moving forward. Real, good, quality posts that make you guys happy and make me happy. That might mean posts every day or once a week. I cannot guarantee a post every Tuesday at 9am even though that is what I'm "supposed" to do. But, I can guarantee, real life in these posts moving forward. Whew, I can already feel the blog-guilt dissipating.
And hey, if you're only looking for pinnable images and things that will grow your space, this probably isn't the blog for you. If you're looking for honestly, real life and totally delicious recipes, then this is the space and welcome!
And hey, blogging gurus, please don't take this post the wrong way. You are my role-models. One day, maybe, I'd love to do what you do. But for now, watching you, trying to catch up with you has me utterly exhausted. I'm done chasing you and from now on I'm gonna run at my own pace.
Stick around everyone. I (moving forward) promise to keep it interesting. If nothing less, I promise to come to you guilt free and with some good stuff to fill your inbox. Thanks for sticking with me. Should we look at some awesome stuff that happened this week around the web? I think we should.

This. I hope my kids are this cool.
Trying.
Because, duh.
That's a hard feeling to replicate and so dang true.
I couldn't stop laughing. Damn Katie.
The cutest Red Sox fan in the world.
Happy Friday friends. Thanks for reading the worlds longest post and thanks for supporting me and this space. Get excited for some good posts coming atcha.
What is up friends. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I have been the most MIA blogger in the world. Can we just chat about that for a minute? Last week was seriously my nightmare. At work until so late every night (we are talking 830pm), at work early (like 730am) and I'm pretty sure I didn't put a dent in any of the piles on my desk.
Add that to a 5 month old puppy who can never get enough exercise and I'm pretty sure I thought to myself at one point that it was going to stay that week forever.
It's been a long time since I filled ya in on life! I feel like lately I've been trying to sell ya on stuff, which let's be honest, it's been some cool stuff. But let's chat. Grab a coffee, I got a lot to tell ya, it's been a while.
In case you missed it, about a month ago, I had some girlfriends in town and we did Denver big! It's so fun exploring the city you live in with people who have never been. I have always loved Denver, but showing it off to new people makes me fall more in love with it. PS. if you are even in Denver, hit me up! I love buddies.
[side-note] you should probably add something a little stronger to your coffee at this point, we're not even half way there. I suggest baileys.
Speaking of Baileys -- Do you guys watch RHOC? Did you see they went to the farm in Ireland where they make the cream for baileys? I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't want to milk a cow, but I'm so down to try the cream they make! I'm obsessed with Baileys. You will find me come Thanksgiving sipping on it, every night. Ok, maybe not every night, but a lot.
Whew, anywayyyss -- After the girls trip, my brother-in-law and his future wife came in town! They are so fun, we just have the best time hanging out with them. We went to the Great American Beer Fest, which is pretty much beer heaven. Did you know it's the largest beer convention! It's incredible. And the funniest part, you can only eat what you wear. Think pretzel necklaces and even chipotole burritos on string. I wish I was lying. Oh and to top that weekend off, my future sister-in-law asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding! Let's get them hitched!
Oh, Chipotle. I went there last week to grab burrito bowls for Adam and I and the line was horrendous. I would have thought that whole salmonella thing would have turned people away. Instead it seems to be encouraging it! I mean.. I guess it didn't deter us. If you go to Chiptole today dressed in costume, you can get a $3 anything! Enjoy!
Have you ever been to a four-year old mermaid birthday party? It is pretty awesome. My niece turned four and we made the road-trip to Omaha to help celebrate. It is so amazing how smart four year olds are! At one point I asked her why Elsa (one of her new dolls) had combat boots on and she looked up at me and told me it was because that was how God made Elsa and she is perfect because God made her perfect. Heart melted. Ovaries melting.
This last weekend my parents were in town and it was amazing. They came in Friday and delicious wine and food was enjoyed all weekend. We took them to our favorite, Breckenridge Brewery which is just the coolest. For dinner Saturday, we ventured to the Highlands and went to Old Major for dinner. If you are in Denver and haven't been, you must go! It is so delicious. Sunday was the grand finale -- the Broncos game and a Broncos win!
Today, I am starting the day, busier than ever but with a much lighter heart and feeling. It's amazing what a weekend with your parents can do for the soul.
Cheers to a better week, delicious candy and it only being a month and a half away from Christmas!
