I have a feeling this season is not going to disappoint. From marriage counseling, to Lizzie returning (why??) to Vicki and Tamra calling a ceasefire for like the 15th time. One of the funniest things is that the housewives write blogs after the episode is aired. They're hilarious - these are some of my favorite parts from Monday nights episode/blogs.
Shannon: "The tombstone exercise was surreal for me. We were asked to compose a eulogy that we hoped our spouse would say at our own funeral." This is unreal. I support Shannon's attempt to make her marriage work, but writing your own eulogy. I can't.
Heather: "They produce some of the best wines in California! Knowing my love of all things bubbles, we have often talked about partnering up to create a sparkling wine together. Well, we finally did it! We called it COLLETTE." Guys, Heather is my spirit child, she created a sparkling wine. Life Goals.
Meghan: "However, I was a bit shocked to learn that Brooks is in the midst of his chemo and is going to Mexico. Some kind of physical strength he must have to be able to do that. Maybe it's from all his holistic juicing and vitamin "cancer cures". Remember when I said last week that I wasn't going to talk about Brooks... I'm still not going to, I'm just going to let Meghan do the talking.
Meghan: "I find out later that they were joking but I think it's disgusting to talk 'potty mouth' over a meal. Now I know Tamra and I look back at my face and see such an innocent and shocked person, but I know now Tamra is simply full of 'potty mouth'" Looks like we have a mini-Heather on our hands.
Vicki: "It was great finally getting to sit down and quietly talk to Tamra in my grotto – alone and without anyone else there to influence us." When I fight with a friend, I got to my grotto too. Cue, the 15th ceasefire in 10 seasons of RHOC. This is the most tumultuous relationship I've ever seen.
Lizzie: "I am a friend this season and I will be blogging about the episodes that I'm in." Thank heavens. Hopefully not all of them.
I cannot lie, Tamra bored me which is why I have no quotes from her, maybe next week. Until next time!
Shannon: "The tombstone exercise was surreal for me. We were asked to compose a eulogy that we hoped our spouse would say at our own funeral." This is unreal. I support Shannon's attempt to make her marriage work, but writing your own eulogy. I can't.

Real Housewives of Orange County is back and I'm so pumped. You all know my love of TV, so is must come as no surprise that I love anything and everything Bravo has to offer. Well, RHOC is in it's 10th season and the first episode did not disappoint. I used to do a Bachelor-recap, and I just don't think I want to do that again. Plus, this season is desperately boring. I thought that I would share my moments, thoughts, ideas from episode 1 of RHOC, oh and if you're not watching.. get on board
- The new taglines are hilarious. But, Shannon -- lemons are not your thing, lemons are Yolanda's thing. Get a new tagline.
- Heather's house, holy moly.
- Brooks moved in to Vicki's house, will she ever learn. She may be the OG, but she's dumb.
- 5 boob jobs.
- Vicki, Brooks and cancer. That's all I'm going to say about that for now.
- David had an affair!! I feel bad for Shannon. I'm not totally surprised. That explains a lot from last season.
- I have two and a half bathrooms in my apartment and I thought I was living large. I was wrong, Heather is... see #2.
- Is it just me or does Tamra's daughter in law look just like her?
- I don't understand the fascination with Lynn, the housewife from like 4 seasons ago. If I were Vicki, I'd be snoring.
- Tamra's haircut is killing it.
- Why do they always bring on the one boring housewife? We all know she'll have very little story line and be gone by next season. See: Alexis & Lizzie from past seasons.
- Oh, and hey Tamra no-one feels bad for you, you kinda dug your own grave.
That's all for now. What are your thoughts on the new season? Excited, bored? Should I go back to Bachelor recaps?
Have you noticed how much stuff is going on in the news/world. (Ahem, Cailtyn Jenner*). It seems like it's been a very busy few weeks in the news world and just in case you've been hiding under a rock, or just really busy, I thought I'd catch you up. **This is a pop culture news update. I understand, there is a lot more important things going on... like lots of people running for President, the Supreme Court Ruling in favor of a Muslim woman, ISIS is still the largest threat. I understand all that, but this is a little bit lighter of a news update. Enjoy!
1. Caitlyn Jenner, aka the former Bruce Jenner. I had Bruce Jenner as number 2 on my most fascinating people of 2014 list, and I have a feeling she will be there again this year. (please excuse me if I mess up pronouns, terms, phrases, etc, it is in no way to offend, I'm learning). In April, Bruce Jenner told Diane Sawyer in his exclusive interview that, "“For all intents and purposes, I’m a woman,” Jenner told Sawyer. He told Diane that he would debut "her" (at that time we hadn't learned her name) sometime later this year. Well, ladies and gents, that time is here. Caitlyn Jenner has officially been debuted.
2. The entire country is flooding. This is actually heartbreaking. Connecticut, New Jersey, Massachusetts New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas and Oklahoma have experienced a very wet couple days and for some of those states, it doesn't seem to be letting up any time soon. With thousands of people stranded, 30 people reported dead, this seems to be the latest in a string of devastating natural disasters. Keep those states in your prayers tonight.
3. I HATE that I have two Kardashian related things on my blog today, but it's news. Kim Kardashian and Kanye are expecting baby number two. Let the jokes start about "East West" and "South East" Personally I'm rooting for East West, just because.
4. This one is for my husband, but there are a lot of playoffs going on right now (or about to start). Chicago Blackhawks v. Tampa Bay Lightening (thats hockey for all you folks) and Golden State Warriors v. Lebron James (basketball people, come on!). Not that it matters, but I'm rooting for the Blackhawks and the Warriors. Go teams. Oh, and with sports, FIFA is in trouble. That's all I know. Something about the US not getting the bid for the World Cup. Sports.
5. TSA Officers just failed 67 out of 70 undercover tests used to challenge their ability to ID explosives and all kinds of things that aren't allowed on planes. Here's what they let through (all this stuff was fake, since it was a test); weapons, explosives, "unauthorized items" and the worst? A man triggered the alarm when going through the metal detector and they failed to notice a (fake) bomb strapped to his back. Ugh oh.
6. I'm not sure this is considered "news" but E.L. James is writing another 50 Shades of Grey, but this time from Christian's perspective. It comes out June 18th. I'll leave it at that.
7. Josh Duggar and the whole Duggar family are at the center of some very heated controversy. All I have to say about this is my heart breaks for the victims who were poorly treated then and are reliving it now. Maybe we should stop worrying about Josh and the Duggar's reputation and figure out how to stop/avoid/fix/help situations like this going forward. More thoughts on this? You should read Taylor's blog about this at The Daily Tay.
8. Let's end this on a happy note, Real Housewives of Orange County starts Monday (which also happens to be my birthday!!) Whoop Whoop. I love the housewives, what a great birthday gift.
