Whoo hoo, today is our 2 year wedding anniversary! Like I mentioned yesterday, this is going to be a week of heavy related wedding material. I can't help it people, I love my hubs, I love being married and our wedding was literally the best day ever. This is a super mushy post. Get pumped.
It's crazy to think our wedding was two years ago, when I can still remember every detail like it was yesterday. I can still feel the butterflies, right before I saw Adam for the first time. And the nerves right before walking down the aisle. The nerves are something I'll always remember because there is no feeling like walking down the aisle to get married, in front of 200+ of your friends and family, but the only person you see is your dad and your hubs. It's legit the best case of nerves ever.
Our wedding day was a perfect sunny Saturday afternoon in Paradise Valley. The weather graced us with 78 degree temps, even then those poor boys in tuxes were sweating it up. I've mention before that Adam and I didn't do personalized vows. We did the super traditional, I do. So whenever I get the chance to tell Adam all my personal vows, I jump at the chance.
Yesterday, you read all the things I'd tell myself if I could jump back in time. Today, this post is dedicated to Adam. Adam is the kindest, sweetest and most thoughtful person I've ever know, Every day he chooses me even when I'm acting like a crazy person. He buys me fro yo without asking and he let's me watch Friends in bed every single night.
To Adam.
Happy Tuesday friends!
Let's talk details: I literally had the best team of vendors, planners and everything in between. Go show them love and if you're getting married, I highly recommend looking into these amazing people. I'm obsessed with all of them.

To Adam.
- I promise to love you even when you're 90 and insist on wearing a beret to the grocery store.
- I promise to help shovel snow as long as you take my picture in it first.
- I promise to cook dinner almost every night, as long as you pour the vino.
- I promise to love you forever.
- I promise to never ask you to change the channel when the Masters, Super Bowl or any Red Sox game is on.
- I promise to chase your dreams with you
- I promise to tell my kids how damn kind their dad was on our first date and remind them daily that if they grow up to be like you, they'll be the luckiest.
- I promise I'll get my own Uber app.
- I promise to start remembering to turn the alarm off when I let the dogs out at 5am before pure barre so I don't wake you up in a panic.
- I promise to never make you go to Costco on a Sunday morning. Only Saturdays and Fridays moving forward.
- I promise to always be your home, regardless of where we live.
- I promise to give you back massages.
- I promise to teach our kids that the Yankess suck, the Rangers rule and to never, ever root against the Red Sox or the Broncos.
- I promise to always have the fridge stocked full of paleo snacks.
- I promise to never take the vow "till death do us part" lightly.
- I promise to keep making you laugh, even if my jokes get worse with age.
- I promise through thick and thin (hopefully always thin.. that was a joke), sick and healthy, strong and weak to pick you up when you need it, love you harder, talk kinder, speak sweeter and never forget the vow we made 2 years ago.
Happy Tuesday friends!

Happy Monday friends! Here's your warning that tomorrow is my two-year wedding anniversary, so the next two days are going to be heavily wedding oriented. This last weekend, Adam and I took a last minute trip to Breckenridge. We loaded both pups in the car and ventured to the mountains. If you've never been to Breck, stop everything and book a trip. Breck isn't the most glamorous mountain town, but it is my favorite. Adam said it best, as we pulled onto Main Street, he said, "is it weird how homey Breck feels to me." Me too, Adam, me too.
We ventured the town, watched the Derby, had great meals and enjoyed being away from home for the night. It was the best weekend celebrating us. Two years.
This time, two years ago, I was one day away from being a wife. The countdown was over, the wedding was here. The planning that took 11 months had finally finished and it was time to celebrate and get married!
Two years ago, I was toasting with my girlfriends, rehearsing for my big walk down the aisle and prepping my mind and heart for what it meant to become a wife. Adam and I dated for 4 years before we got married so a part of me thought I knew what I was getting in to, little did I know how much I didn't actually know.
Let's be real, I don't pretend to be an expert on marriage by anyyyyy means. But, I've learned a lot in two years and I cannot wait for all the other stuff I'm going to learn in the next years.
Becoming a wife is hands down one of the best things I've ever done in my life. It's been the most rewarding and fun experience. Tomorrow's post is all the things I want to tell Adam. Today, it's all about me. These are the things I'd tell myself if I could go back in time to that day two years ago.
Tomorrow, we're celebrating the big 2 year mark. I'll be sharing my renewed vows to Adam. It's a tear-jerker, you don't want to miss it.
Happy Monday friends, lets make it a great one.

I'd tell myself that marriage is going to be better than I could even imagine. I'd tell myself that everything I assumed marriage would be like, is even better. I'd tell myself marriage is work. That choosing to love someone every day is a choice, not a given. I would tell myself that there would be days, just regular days, but those would be the days I'd look at Adam in awe he choose me. Marriage is fun. Life is way more fun with someone you can do life with. I would tell myself that you will watch a lot of football, but he'll watch RHOC and RHOBH with you. You will both watch The Bachelor because he will support your blogging career with everything he has. I'd tell myself that being a wife is a blessing. It's a blessing to love another person and to be loved in return. I'd remind myself no one is perfect, but choosing to love the imperfections is where your marriage will find its depth. Laughing cures most fights. I'd remind myself that this vow of marriage is not only a vow in front of friends and family, but in the presence of God. I'd remind myself that no one other act is that way. I'd tell myself about the journeys that Adam and I would experience as a couple and how amazing they are. I'd tell myself to give myself and Adam grace. We're young lovers figuring how to do marriage together, for the first time and for the last time. I would remind myself to thank Adam repeatedly for taking Instagram pictures for you. I would tell myself that Adam doesn't know how to load a dishwasher, but to show your appreciation to him when he tries. Speak kindly, show love and kiss often. I would tell myself marriage is the greatest thing ever and to never take it lightly, but to take ourselves lightly. Make promises, keep them and make more. Travel together. Encourage each other, push each other. Wipe his tears because trust me, he will wipe way more of yours. Love each other unconditionally and tell each other often. For those of you married, what would you tell yourself if you could go back? What would you remind yourself of? What's the best part of marriage in your opinion? Let's chat. Tell me your thoughts on marriage in the comments.

Happy Monday friends, lets make it a great one.
It doesn't seem quite possible that one year ago today, Adam and I got married. One year ago, I was excitedly getting ready with my best friends and little did I know at that moment, that our wedding day would be the greatest day I could have dreamed of, blowing the roof off whatever already great expectations I had about that day.
[warning] sappy post ahead followed by even more photos.
That day was incredible. Literally the greatest day of my life. I married my love, celebrated with friends and family and ventured into married life happier than ever.
Little did I know that life would only get better than that day already was. Maybe I'm a sap because I'm still considered a newly wed, but marriage is the greatest thing ever. My wedding planner told me this 100 times during wedding planning, the wedding is one day, but your marriage is for the rest of your life. It was so easy to get caught up in planning the perfect day, that sometimes I missed the idea that we were preparing for the rest of our lives.
PS -- if you're following me on Instagram, I promise this morning will be the last anniversary picture for a while. I can't help it.
If I've learned anything, marriage is the greatest even when life isn't the greatest. Marriage is the happy and the sad and the ups and the down. But it's also those amazing quiet times in between. Marriage is learning how to get through life, together. It's about getting through the crap, together.
Adam has transformed the words love and commitment in way I never knew I needed. It's support when it isn't asked. It's love when its not deserved. It's a smoothie on Sunday morning when you had a little too much wine the night before. Or taking Henry out first thing in the morning so I can get another 3 minutes of sleep.
This post is dedicated to Adam and to us. It's a celebration of this amazing life we've created together and the life we will continue to build together. I won the marriage jackpot with him.
Thanks for letting me be a sap today, regular scheduled posts will be back tomorrow :)

To you, Adam, my love. Thank you for asking me on a date five plus years ago, picking me two years ago, and saying I do, one year ago. I can't wait to see all the great things we continue to do together. I love you more than blog posts can express (which you know is a lot). Here's to year one, and here's to 100 more.
Thanks for letting me be a sap today, regular scheduled posts will be back tomorrow :)
So, you got married and now you want to change your name.
Well, first, CONGRATS! I've been married for a good month now (when this was written) and let me be the first to tell you, it's incredible. It's such an blessing to be united with another person, in a union created and blessed by God.
Well, I can honestly say, I made it through the process and have successfully changed my name. It is quite the process so I thought I would share my easy step-by-step check list with you.
Pre-Wedding:
1. Marriage License: Make sure to check the rules of the county where you're getting married. Some have rules that require you to get your license 24-hours before the ceremony, but then requiring you to get married within 30 days of getting the license. Head to your county court website and check the rules.
When Adam and I got our license, they gave us the option to pre-pay for a certified copy, do this! It was $30 and you're going to have to get it eventually anyways. If you wait, you have to wait to receive your "pretty" marriage license and then pay for the certified copy and wait for that. Paying for them both at the same time saves so much time.
Most government offices will not take the pretty marriage license, they require the certified copy. After the ceremony, make sure to sign all the proper signatures and then send that baby in! The quicker you submit it, the quicker you get it back.
Post-Marriage:
1. Social Security Office: Once you receive your certified marriage license, go to the Social Security website and fill out the required form. You'll need proof of citizenship, aka your birth certificate or a valid passport. You need your drivers license, your certified marriage license and some patience.
I pre-filled out the form, arrived at the Social Security office 30 minutes before it opened and still waited 3 hours. My advice; you can make appointments online for your Social Security office. The appointments are usually a month in advance. Make one! When they finally opened the doors, they called for the appointments and like 4 people were able to cut the line and go in first. I didn't do this, hence the 3-hour wait.
2. DMV: When I received my paper from Social Security (the same day I went), I had to wait one day before the DMV would accept my new social security papers. So, I went to the DMV the day after the SS office. Make sure you bring the letter you receive from SS, your driver's license, your certified marriage license and I brought my passport (just in case), plus proof of your address for your drivers license. I went to the driver's license cue first. After that I moved over to the place where you change your registration and title to your car. I hope you're all reading a good book, this is a long process.
PS. You can do your voter registration at the DMV too.
Okay, so your name is officially changed! Congrats! Now it's time for all the fun stuff.
Here's a list of all things you'll want to change (maybe not right away, but soon!) Good luck!

Here's a list of all things you'll want to change (maybe not right away, but soon!) Good luck!
- Employer - change all your info so nothing lapses.
- Credit Cards, Debit Cards, Bank Accounts: They require a drivers license and a certified marriage certificate
- Health Insurance: I got on Adam's health insurance once we got married and we had to do this 30 days after our wedding date! So get on this! They needed our certified marriage license.
- Southwest Rapid Rewards: This takes forever. You have to send a copy of your certified marriage license, your old rapid rewards card and your drivers license. I still haven't gotten my new card.
- Passport: Marriage license, drivers license and a check.
- Utilities - TV, Internet, Water, Electricity
- Apartment/Lease, etc
- US Postal Service : Do this so that is mail comes to your new name they don't send it back.
- Cell Phone Service: Want to spend a Saturday at Verizon? Yikes.
- Magazine Subscriptions: Most of these can be done online.
- Doctors: I did this as I visited the docs, no need to call ahead.
- Email: I wanted to do this to streamline everything, but here I am a year later and I still have my old email, just in case.
- Social Media - girl, this is your chance to really make it Facebook official!
Tomorrow I'm doing a really fun weekend recap.
(1) My best friend got MARRIED!!
(2) I went to my 10-year high school reunion.
How is that even possible?? I still feel like nice little 18 year old girl getting ready for the big bad world. Now, here I am 27, married and it just doesn't seem possible! In preparation for my 10-year reunion post, here are the top 10 songs from 2005. Doesn't it seem like music "back then" was so much better than it is now?
I mean, 1, 2 step? I'm pretty sure that was my prom theme song.
Don't cha... basically sung by every girl around the country on repeat.
Since you Been Gone. Yes.
I love 'oldies' but these top 10 are pretty damn good. I also think this was back when Kayne was still a good person and not the mic-stealing human he is today. Does anyone else miss 50 cent like I do? Thank goodness the Pussycat Dolls broke up though, even though their songs were catchy, I think we can all agree we're better off without :)
Anyways, enough of my reminiscing... here's the list... and here's my favorite from that list.
| 1 | Mariah Carey | We Belong Together |
| 2 | Gwen Stefani | Hollaback Girl |
| 3 | Mario | Let Me Love You |
| 4 | Kelly Clarkson | Since U Been Gone |
| 5 | Ciara feat. Missy Elliott | 1, 2 Step |
| 6 | Kanye West feat. Jamie Foxx | Gold Digger |
| 7 | Green Day | Boulevard Of Broken Dreams |
| 8 | 50 Cent feat. Olivia | Candy Shop |
| 9 | Pussycat Dolls feat. Busta Rhymes | Don't Cha |
| 10 | Kelly Clarkson | Behind These Hazel Eyes |
