Happy New Years Eve everyone. I hope you're getting ready for something sparkly and fabulous or following my lead and staying in, watching Netflix and ordering in pizza. 2014 has been one of my favorite years yet. A lot of changes, happiness, sadness and some of the most amazing memories. This is going to be a long post, so if you need something quick, I suggest looking at the Skimm, it will be shorter than today. I hope the rest of you enjoy!
January: Can I be honest? January was kind of a blur. We were still living in Omaha, the weather was cold and dreary and the only real thing I can remember is that Henry had knee surgery. Oh, and I was studying for the February bar exam. That's why January flew by with nothing exciting.

February: February, along with my two best friends, ventured up to Des Moines, Iowa to take the bar exam in a blizzard. More on that later, but turns out February was a pretty good month. I also saw Justin Timberlake in concert. Woah.
March: March was bitter sweet, it's when Adam and I found out that we would be moving to Denver! My mom and I ventured off to Denver in search of apartments. Also, Lynds and I saw Lady Antebellum, and they were amazing! Can you tell I love concerts?
April: I passed the bar exam and got sworn in! Hooray! Of of my favorite couple days of celebration! Adam and I celebrated Easter with his family, had some amazing going away parties and officially moved to Denver.
May: May was our first full month in Denver and we experienced all the weather it had to offer, blizzards & tornadoes! We spend Memorial Day in Arizona with the family and celebrating the wedding of our great friends. Are you bored yet? Cuz I'm loving reliving these moments :)
June: June was my most favorite month by far this year. Adam and I got engaged. Some other things happened too (like my birthday), but this was the best even ever and I think it deserves its own month. June was the month I said yes and it was the best decision I've ever made.
July: July was a great vacation month for us, Omaha for the 4th and Tahoe later on with our family. It was so fun getting to spend the summer on the water with our friends and family. And Adam celebrated his birthday!
August: When I think of August, I think of the revamp of this blog, engagement parties, wedding dresses and my handsome little nephew Tomas being born. It was such an overwhelming month in such a good way.
September: I started my first job in Denver! Oh what a delicious 5 months its been! This getting paid regularly thing is quite nice. (Only 3 more months to go!)
October: Breckenridge vacations, engagement pictures, bridal showers and snuggles with my nephew. October rocked.
November: November I celebrated 4 years with Adam, 3 months with my nephew Tomas, my first Broncos game and my first Thanksgiving with Adams family. So many wonderful things to celebrate!
Attention: This is a mushy Kristen-wedding post, if you're not interested, feel free to skip, there will be plenty of paleo posts coming! This past weekend was one for the memory books. I spent 5 blissful days in Arizona and am sitting at my desk dreaming of the past week. The first day I flew in my mom and I spent the entire day wedding planning. From picking linens to picking cake, we had the best day, taking pictures, laughing and drinking champagne. I just love getting to do this super girly type stuff with her and can't wait for the actual day. The rest of the week was a blur of friends, family, my nephew/love/bestfriend Tomas, wine and so many pictures.
how insanely handsome is Adam, sheesh, I'm lucky.
I'm so excited to marry this dreamboat.
Adam flew in Friday night and Saturday we took engagement pictures. I've been kind of nervous for engagements because they're used for so much wedding stuff! But, Stephanie Fay (click for link!) knocked them out of the park! Go look at her blog now, you wont regret it. Stephanie and I have known each other for years. We were lucky enough to go to school together for 12+ years, play basketball together and go to more Suns games than I can count. She's such an amazing human, let alone photographer. I'm so happy with the way our pictures turned out, thanks to her!

Sunday afternoon, my two gorgeous MOH's and my mom's best friend hosted for me the most beautiful shower I could have ever dreamed of. It was complete with custom napkins, lots of mimosas and amazing, handmade quiches, frittatas and cakes. I had the best day catching up with old friends, taking 100000 pictures and opening lots of fun and thoughtful gifts. I had friends from every stage of my life at this shower and those who couldn't make it sent gifts, their love and sweet notes. This shower made me so excited for the wedding day. I can't imagine the feelings I will have when I walk into our reception surrounded by all of our friends and family. I feel so blessed to have so many wonderful woman in my life. I'm so thankful to Coti and Whit for the shower and to everyone who came out to help Adam and I celebrate.

how I spent my day, laughing, drinking mimosas and eating homemade cake.
Thanks for letting me rave about all things wedding. I promise I'll keep these types of posts to a minimum. It was just too good of a weekend not to share. Only 191 days until I'm a wife, and then I promise, the wedding posts will be less!
Happy Thursday blogworld, make it a good one!
Day 4: Favorite Photo I've posted on Instagram.
I've posted a lot of really wonderful pictures to Instagram. I love Instagram more than any other form of social media. But my most favorite picture is the moment Adam and I got engaged. This is hands down my favorite picture & my favorite moment ever. I wish I could relive this moment over and over, but thanks to Instagram, I can!
My 10 days in Arizona were anything but boring. I said yes to the wedding dress, had an engagement party and to top it all off, I became an aunt to the most beautiful little boy ever. My older brother and sister-in-law had their first little boy & the first grandkid of the family! He's basically the most perfect child ever to be born and I couldn't be more thrilled.
saying yes is fun!
we're aunts!

The one thing that bums me out about being in Omaha is I feel like I'm missing out on events back in Arizona. This weekend was especially hard because yesterday was Tom (my brother) and Camila's engagement party! I feel like I have been waiting for my big brother to get engaged ever since I understood what dating and marriage was, and now its finally here and I'm missing out on the biggest events. All I want is to be there with them celebrating the love they have for each other and enjoying time with my family. But, luckily for me, my mom is a great photographer and captured some great moments, that made me feel like I was a part of their special day. So, to Tommy and Camila, Happy Engagement, I'm sorry I wasn't there to celebrate in person, but I was there with my whole heart, cheering you two on. I love you both.
The Happy Couple
The boys.
So beautiful.
My beautiful family.
