Happy Friday friends and Happy June! It's crazy to me that we are already half way through the year! I swear every month goes faster and faster. Sorry I've been MIA, life has been crazy busy, this whole growing a human thing is harder than I thought. Next week I'll have a full life update on the blog + some fun new happenings.
I'm officially more than 6 months pregnant (26 weeks to be exact) and I think I'm finally getting this pregnancy thing down, or at least getting the hang of it. When I first started this journey I had no clue what to expect, what I thought it would be like or what my body would do. 6 months in and I still don't know much, but I know what I need to help me through.
ONE // A Heating Pad. I swear, I hit 22 weeks and my back was done with being pregnant. It hurt all the time, my hips ached and my feet were sore. Cue, the heating pad. I swear I couldn't live without it. I use it in bed, when I work at my desk, sit on the couch. It's a lifesaver. Do yourself a favor and get one asap. Here's a good cheap one from Amazon!
TWO // Prenatal massages. Do your body a favor and book a prenatal massage. Life. Changing. Make sure when you schedule it you tell them you're pregnant. The massage is different and you want to make sure your masseuse knows what they're doing. I also checked with my doc first to make sure it was okay. When I was on bedrest I wasn't allowed to get them, so always check!
THREE // Comfortable dresses. I am enjoying a nice hot Denver summer and honestly, pants sound like some weird version of hell to me. I hate wearing pants so dresses have become my saving grace. I know you've heard me talk about Pink Blush before, but guys I'm seriously obsessed. These Pink Blush dresses are perfect because I can dress them up, down, sandals, heels and they are so comfortable (& cool!). They have everything from maternity dresses and clothes to non-maternity. dresses and clothes.
FOUR // Snacks. Hear me out. Yes, you're always hungry. But, eating huge meals hurts like hell. The ugly side of pregnancy includes upset stomachs, gas, crampy feelings, heartburn, ect. To avoid that, snacks are the best. I try and eat small meals throughout the day instead of three main meals. Lara bars, fruit, bananas. Keep them in your purse, in your car because when hunger strikes its almost as if you're dying. I wish I was being dramatic.
FIVE // Sandals. This goes hand in hand with comfortable dresses. Everyone needs a good pair of sandals and in my opinion ones you don't have to strap because lets face it, bending over sucks.
SIX // A Good Book. I just had my glucose test doctors appointment and I was there for over 2 hours. Ultrasounds take a while, pediatrician meet and greets make you sit forever therefore a good book is mandatory. My top three books right now, Bread & Wine, Babywise and The Woman in Cabin 10.

This grey dress is my fav - so comfortable and goes with everything.

I love this black dress because it doesn't ride up and the shoulder cutouts make me feel fancy.
