On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free. —Dan Lipinski
Thank you does not seem like enough. How do you say thank you for something that is so huge it's hard to grasp? How do you thank someone you've never met for something you can never repay? The love I have for our veterans is so immense, when I think about their sacrifice it brings me to tears. The gratitude I have for our veterans is impossible to put into words, but since I'm a blogger, I will try.
Thank you. Thank you for choosing to serve this country. Thank you for volunteering your life for mine. Thank you for protecting me, my family and my freedom. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your heroism. Thank you everything you do. Thank you. Thank you. I am forever grateful and forever thankful.

Today is also my sister-in-law Brooke's Birthday! I got very lucky when I married Adam in that I married into two wonderful sisters, Brooke being one of them. She is kind and loving and hilarious and I'm so lucky to have her in my life.
Brooke, Happy Birthday!! Thanks for being such a wonderful sister to me. You've always been there for me and I appreciate you and your support more than you know. I hope today you feel celebrated and loved. PS Thanks for giving me two adorable nieces. I love you!
throwing it back to Brooke's Wedding Day!
This one is easy for me because I truly have the greatest friends in the world. I've been lucky to live in a lot of different places and because of that, I have friends from lots of different places. People always say quality is better than quantity and I agree, I guess I'm just lucky enough to have both :) I feel so lucky to have this large group of woman in my life. They've been my rocks, they keep me grounded, they're all hilarious, gorgeous, smart, compassionate and wonderful. #blessed.
My friend group gets thrown back to high school/junior high. Yes, I'm 20-something years old and I'm still best friends with my friends from high school, how cool is that?! Two of them are my maids of honor and another one is a bridesmaid (and I was her MOH!). They loved me through my awkward high-school years, which wasn't pretty people, so that is saying a lot. They're the greatest humans.
My mom always told me the friends I made in college would be my best friends for life. Boy was she right. In college, I met some amazing girlfriends who became my roommates, sorority sisters and law school comrades. We grew up together. They're the girls who saw me at my best and worst. I'm so lucky to have them.
Next, guest where...off to law school. And what figures, I found 3 more girls who complete the circle. Law school would have been unbearable without these girls. They were my study group, my wine drinkers, TIVO watchers and friends. If you can get through law school and all the stress and crap it brings, along with multiple bar exams and come out with friends, hold on to them, because I haven't found anything more challenging and friends are a necessity. I'm so grateful for them.
Lastly, I'm lucky to have sisters as friends. When my brother married Camila I instantly gained three incredible ladies to call my family. And when I marry Adam I will have two more sisters to officially add to that group. They're all so strong, smart, independent and amazing. 5 sisters? How'd I get so lucky.
I know this sounds braggy and oh my gosh my friends are great but hey, they are, and I'm thankful for them. They've made me a stronger, better version of who I am. Who are you grateful for?

I have known these girls for two years now, worked together, hung out together and gone to concerts together. I have been waiting for two years to get to go out with them on their 21st, and now it's here and I'm not. I wish I was there girls! Have the BEST day, we'll make up for it one day. I love you both and I can't wait to see pictures from your fun night!

Yesterday was certainly the day for weddings. From the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in London, to Brooke & Joe in Omaha, Nebraska, it was quite the day. As I sat in St. Johns (certainly the most beautiful Catholic church) looked at Brooke, who looked stunning and listened to the Priest's homily, I found myself with tears in my eyes. Joe's sister had just read 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 which is the perfect wedding verse and she reminded all of us the very important characteristics of love. The Priest then spoke about the sanctity of marriage. He talked about the challenges and the day-to-day commitment it takes. But he also talked about the rewards that come from marrying your best friend. He talked about a kind of love that is only shared between a man and woman. He reminded us all that a love like that is something to be cherished, and never taken for granted. Yesterday was a great day. It was nice, in the midst of finals, to sit back, and be a part of Brooke and Joe's fairytale. It was nice to see, first hand, a type of love that everyone dreams they find someday. So to Will&Kate, Brooke & Joe, thanks for letting me be a part of your day.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Joe & Brooke.
Me and the beautiful bride
William and Kate.
