The cool thing about Michael Jackson is like my mom said, he didn't just sing and make music videos. He sang about things that mattered. Yes, he had his fun, happy songs like PYT & Rock with You but he also produced songs like Heal the World, Black & White and my favorite Man in the Mirror.
