5 Things I'm Thankful for Today.

March 9, 2018

Happy Friday friends! We made it through another week! (Praise hands!) I for one, am really needing this weekend.  I hope you all have some fun plans, or no plans at all this weekend.

One thing I know we can be thankful for, the fact that the Bachelor is over! Praise. That was honestly the worst season ever and it ended in the worst way. But Becca is the Bachelorette, we can never say his name again and we can all move on. That recap will be on the blog Monday. It's gonna be short, not so sweet and then we can wrap this up!

Happy International Woman's Day (a day late!). I hate that I missed this post, because we, as woman are badasses. I'm especially thankful for all the strong, powerful, amazing woman in my life, readers of this blog and those doing the things they love. Keep up the good work girls, who runs the world?

Last week I LOVED reading all that you are thankful for. I just love this idea that at the end of a long week, we remind ourselves to be thankful.

ONE //  My health. It's been a long week including a visit to the ER on Monday.  But, it's amazing what the human body is capable of. I'm healing, I'm healthy and I'm so incredibly thankful.

TWO // My dogs, especially Henry this week. We found out my little champ has a heart murmur and he has to go in for some serious tests. But he's taking things like the little monster he is. And Lola, just chugging along like the little crazy she is.

THREE // My husband. It's not easy to get a call from your wife that she's in the ER, especially when the ER is in Omaha. But my husband, even from a state away was able to make me calm, feel supported and was a constant rock. I'm obsessed with him.

FOUR // The weather. Something not health related. It's going to be 65 degrees in Denver today and I'm basking in the little things. I'm going to take my book and read on the patio today and for that, I am thankful.

FIVE // The weekend. God knew what He was doing when He gave us the weekend and a day of rest. I'm gonna be honest, I really need it this weekend. I'm going to lay low, hang with my husband and dogs and be thankful for another week and another weekend.

BONUS // My sister in laws and my girlfriends. My sister in law took me to the ER to meet my other SIL and my gfs. My gfs brought me fresh sweatpants and they all sat with me for over 4 hours while we waited in the ER. I'm feeling especially thankful for these amazing woman in my life.

  1. I'm sorry you were in the ER (always a bit anxiety inducing) and hope you are feeling better! I think it's important to recognize our gratitude. I'm always grateful for my health, family and friends. This week, I'm extra grateful for my career that lets me travel and sometimes splurge on random things while supporting myself. :)

  2. Sorry to hear about Henry and your visit to the ER. I am super grateful for the weekend because I really need a break. I'm also grateful for God's peace because it's been my comfort this past week.

  3. I hope your visit to the ER was nothing serious! What a wonderful Sister in law you have!

What a great post, we are so often so very busy that we forget to stop and just pause. Look at our life and spend time being thankful for the things that at times we take for granted.

I spent my morning on International Womens day, talking to a group of ladies about my business and personal hurdles. But it was wonderful to support and be-friend so many amazing women!
